May be my expectation of him was too high, but there are stuffs you look for in a world-class defender, that i cant find in rudiger. I can list 10 central defenders that i will be more comfortable with, than this guy in epl. Everything is not gbagbagbugbu in defence. How can you even call it a good business when the only side(Cahills position) we were clamouring for an upgrade, we got a sodje who Cahill will still bench for years to come? I really didn't see why we sold PVA, Bertrand, loaned out Ake to buy baba Rahman and I am definitely not seeing why Ake was sold for another expensive bench warmer in sodje.

Yeah but in 4 or 5 years from now, Tammy might not be a first choice forward for Chelsea and may have lost his shot. There's a certain level of hype that you need to generate to play for England...their players are not called overhyped for nothing.

I think he might be looking at eagles and thinking even if he doesn't start at 9, he could start on either flank...thats an option he doesn't even have for the lions.

Ultimately, the dilemma boils down to whether or not the boy himself believes that he is good enough to get into the England squad.
