Where does coaching input come in?

United and city have very good squads. A lot of people think city's squad is better even, and it is arguable.

What isn't however is that the difference between both sides is minimal.

Then we have pep who is a revolutionary genius and Mourinho who is a tactical bus parking dinosaur.
Surely the managerial factor should tip the argument to pep's side

The difference in squad favours Man Utd. Mourinho inherited a largely young team and just added a few missing pieces. Guardiola inherited an ageing squad and had to demolish and rebuild it

Both managers are good and will be among the top 5 best managers in Europe currently and in the last decade
