Pigbakasa is an area in Apo District in Abuja and that is where i live. I just moved in barely a month ago and i was robbed twice among many other residents. Well last night, luck ran out of one of the thieves who was caught by the angry residents.

The thief who seem to be in his twenties was said to have just walked into a house at around 7:45pm and pointed his gun at a the guy in the house demanding for his cash and other valuables. The guy gave him N10,000 cash and the robber left and locked him inside. Unfortunately for the thief, the elder brother of the guy was outside the house peeking from the window while everything was unfolding and waited patiently for his chance. He allowed the robber to walk away casually and he followed him to a certain distance and when the robber was off guard, he pounced on him and raised alarm. The robber took to his heels but was pursued by the residents who were already fedup of their activities.

He was caught and beaten to almost a state of unconsciousness. They were deliberating on whether to kill him or hand him over to the police but the majority insisted that he should be killed. I had to call the police on phone and they came about 20 mins later and whisked him away.

How will i enter case?

They wanted to lynch the guy and i called the inspector who was handling the case file of the items that was stolen from me when i was robbed about 2 weeks ago. It was a distress call that they should come and pick him up to avoid him being killed by the angry mob and here you are saying that i go enter case. I didn't want the guy to be killed cos i know the consequences of that. If he was killed by the mob, for the next one month SARS will come to our area and pick anyone they see on sight.

They should have finished him off with his gun. I don't support extra judicial killings but these thieves are not smiling and don't want to slow down.

No be only them Buhari messed up their finances. Let them go to Aso Rock and rob Buhari and we will cheer and give them national honour.
