Why do the Catalans need Catalan
Why do the South Africans need Afrikaans
Why do the Dutch need Dutch
Why do the Danes need Danish
Why do the Albanians need Albanian
I could go on.
There are languages which aren't very widely spoken around the world. But the people of those countries still speak the language. If they were to take that approach they would switch to English and their language would be extinct.
That part of their culture and their ability to communicate with each other uniquely (sharing the same history DNA) diminishes.
More people speak Igbo than any of those languages.

It's imperative for any respectable group of people to speak and understand their own unique language. It gives them power.

That's why Igbo is important. That’s why all African languages are important.

OP which kin lie be dis?? It is impossible to learn a language in 2 weeks. Even Esperanto, the easiest language to learn in the world can't be learnt in just 2 weeks...
