Hey, guys when last did you prepare this popular Nigerian palm oil jollof rice? This native jollof rice is one of my best rice meals. This palm oil based rice as it is commonly called Mtn rice, concoction rice or native rice has an earthy nutty flavour due to the native ingredients used in preparing it. You can pair this tasty palm oil jollof rice with avocado, or ripe bananas; it tastes good with these. You can add fish stock or beef stock to your native rice dish, the meat stock adds a distinctive flavour to this rice meal. Nigerian palm oil jollof rice is never complete without scent leaves (Basil, Nchawu), however, you can substitute that with ugwu if you don’t have scent leaf.
