This erosion cuts through both Anambra and Imo States around that Orashi ridge. Most of the communities there are densely populated and have very limited usable land. Somehow I believe it's irredeemable and nature should be allowed to take its course.

Jonathan will not know peace. Upon all the supports and votes he got from these people. How can you leave an entire tribe that supported you without life, love and any means of enjoying good living?
Forget!!

"He wanted to do for others before doing for his in his second coming."

That's actually the most dead- brained statement I've ever seen.

Bloggers knows how to escalate something small to look big, this same ebenator that has good roads and well developed in nnewi, for the fact that erosion is affecting one side that doesn't mean the whole of ebenator has been ravaged by erosion. Even the osumenyi you mentioned has a good road network compare to towns in Owerri. Stop your biased journalism , anambra and IMO state has lot of erosion affected areas and its natural, besides both states and federal government are trying their best to savage the situation, through erosion control agencies and others .

Apparently you don't know what watermark means. It is not the same as sensorship, it is simply applying a signature to one's pictures such that everyone viewing them anywhere know they are coming from you.

That's what watermarking means.

The only long lasting if not permanent solution to erosion control in States with topography like Ours is to embark on Central Channels running across the state.

Such Central Channel should be at least 10 feet deep and 20 feet wide running the required Km to a natural collector. The Consultancy services will after the studies give a picture of the arms/levels such Channels will run. For Anambra 50-60 kms of a Y shaped drainage will cut across the unstable areas beginning from Awka while communities (through tax /donations) links smaller drainages from their towns to the Medium Channels which should be undertaken by the LGAs, the Medium Channels terminates in the Central Channels.
This kind of Project is Multi -billion and I don't expect States with myriads of problems begging for attention to embark on such except successive Governments will have the understanding do it piece by piece.
All the remedial landfilling and concrete slabs by Erosion Agencies are just very temporary. Block the flood-erosion here, it finds another route in another town with more fury and devastations.

"The erosion gully was said to have been commissioned in 2014 by the Anambra State government under Governor Willie Obiano to the tune of about N300 Million. But ever since then, after a few paroxysm of activities and a wee crude work at the site, the Consultant (Nest Engineering Ltd.) and the Contactor (Mastek Construction Ltd) handling the work left only their signboard at the site and disappeared to the air"...... Sad such scam is not in the conversation.
They wont talk about it. They are preoccupied with how ambode is greater dn fashola and how tinubu owns 120% of lagos state. Just chasing shadows with no bearing, instead of d one dt affects them. People with small brain. Lol!
