currently using one, wouldn't advice any good phone user to get it..... Way too crappy. Go for the m5 mini instead.... Would rather dash it out than even sell it out to another person............ Crap

some of the problems with the Gionee m5.
1. 6020mah battery is a hype. once battery goes below 40%, it'll empty real quick.
2. home buttons don't respond to touch when you use screen guard. you have to press and press until it turns to eba.
3. after some months, you'll notice the power on/off button doesn't respond to soft presses, you have to press and press..
4. amoled screen flickering. you have to manage, no way out.
5. doesn't support some 4g bands eg Glo.
6. Get a Gionee m6 instead, m5 is only an over hyped piece of garbage

Goto display and increase brightness level and tick economical backlight. That's how i solved mine.

As in ehn.. bros I am confused with some comments here.. I bought mine in December, 2015. I am still using the device up till now. I have replaced screen due to accident i had on bike.. yet the device is still going on strong.

Some people self. Gionee m5 is a great phone. I have used it thrice. The phone is very OK. My friend's m5 is now over a year with no single fault. Please park well

My gionee m5 fell,there was no crack on the screen but later noticed green ink across the screen and now it has spread all over the screen,I can barely see what's on my phone
