As if you do not know that Trinity - Ijesha axis of that same road was reconstructed under GEJ and commenced work to an advanced stage for the mega trailer park near the Marine Beach fly over at Apapa.

Obviously, you do not live anywhere near Lagos.

You get the point, whether dangote pays tax or not, the common man doesn't feel it, but roads directly affect the life of the common man, let him do the road, whatever tax relief he gets from the government, so be it.

Does that even sound logical? The capitalist system is a mixed economy, part private and part public, and its infrastructures are built through private-public relationships. The biggest job of the public sector shouldn't be more than lending key support through establishing a legal system, encouraging banking expansion, and offering direct and indirect subsidies to speed up development. Of course the gov't would build SOME infrastructure but but it can't build it all, for example The National Bridge Inventory (NBI) lists roughly 2,200 privately owned highway bridges in 41 states and Puerto Rico

I am a Nigerian and I am more interested in the role of the Nigerian government. If tax incentives is what termed "conducive and safe environment", It therefore, follows that when you remove tax incentive, the environment is no longer safe and conducive, right? Please be angry. I am just taking it slowly. I don't want you to bamboozle me.

Private sectors construct road, build rail lines,transport and housing Estates over sea and they always get tax incentives for it, that's why there is always toll gates on the road.

So what is your excuses, we have to utilize people like Dangote to develop, person that is not even on forbe list of richest man in the world constructed underground rail line in malaysia, na everything we they politicize in Nigeria.
The work load is too much on FG, private sectors has to come in

Seems you enjoy drawing your own conclusions, my point is there is nothing wrong with this news, its normal for the private sector to contribute to infrastructure building, not a substitute to gov't since it's a profit making organization, tax incentive is just one of the things govt use to woo direct social investment from the private sector, sometimes there is nothing wrong with asking what you can do for your country instead of always asking what the country would do for you.

Now I agree with you. If you had responded to me with this from the beginning, this matter would have been laid to rest. However, a government that has not done its fair share of infrastructure will always be seen as abdicating its responsibility in situations like this. I can tell you that it was a hard and painful decision for Dangote. They waited to no avail for the government to live up to its responsibility. It was taking a big toll on their businesses.
