It's not so surprising that quite a few people here have not heard Charly Boy's hit songs. Charly Boy's music was quite popular in the 1980s and so also was his "Prince of Punk" persona. However, around 1991, partly because of the "junk journalism" that was prevalent at that time, he started The Charly Boy Show and devoted his attention to his TV production company. He also later did another TV show called Zoom Time.

He didn't have another major hit until 2008 when he released the Ninja Bike album. 1991 to 2008 is quite a long time, so it's understandable that some don't know how popular the songs from his Nwata Miss and 1990 albums were.

My favourite Charly Boy song from the 1980s is, of course, Big Bottom (I'm listening to the instrumental version right now). Unfortunately I still haven't been able to find the video or the full audio version. All I have is the instrumental.

That was during the days of the late Jake Sollo...Jake Sollo will be remembered as the grand father of music producers of modern afro pop. He died in a motor accident in his car returning from Charlie's Boy's Alpha Studio in Oguta. Died with him was Al Jackson Umunnakwe, an upcoming artist then.

Charlie was a big act then. "Big Bottom" was the craze.

not the same song though... there was a nwata miss song in his first or second album from the early eighties!

There one of his movies that I watched while growing up, he was the leader of a bad gang. I watched that movie continuously like say tomorrow no dey.

That will be 'BACKSTAB'.If i recall correctly,the lead actor was this handsome actor from the middlebelt.The lead actor in the movie 'another campus tale'(A.C.T)

I was very young then,maybe If I hear it again I would remember it.
