Look at how all of us are happy that Nigeria won Zambia and qualified for the World Cup. Alex Iwobi an Igbo guy scored the goal that qualified Nigeria. Now, no one is talking about tribe here. Supposing it was a crime he committed, u will see name checkers rush to check and make vile comments. Well, this is how it ought to be, though I'm not a foot ball avid but I'm happy. I wish Phyno and Olamide can be president and vice president respectively with Seriki as the Senate president. Those guys make me happy than all our public office holders put together.

I will give it to alex iwobi. He showed incisive finishing which the game lacked.
The game did not lack chances. Moses, ighalo, mikel, simon all saw chances but failed to utilize them.
If iwobi did not come on, I am certain we would have postponed till the Algeria match.
Leon balogu, abdullahi, ekong tried, but Iowbi is the man of the match.

Give it up to Balogun. His defense tactics made it impossible for the Zambians to equalise the goal. He saved Nigeria's ass by ensuring the opponent didn't score even half goal. Without him, the FT score would have been 1-1

First, Iwobi came on for Simon Moses, not William Ekong.
Secondly, Shehu Abdullahi is a defender, it is foolish to judge him by goals, that is not even his primary responsibility. He was solid at the back, he was part of the defense team that kept a clean sheet and he also assisted with the pass that gave Iwobi the goal.

I'm going to ignore the tribal _shit you wrote as well.

Leon Balogun for me, Iwobi was favoured that the goal came from him, but we might have been 2 goals down before he came on, if not for very solid defending.

Abdulahi Shehu comes second for me, very clever defender, plus a surgical assist to give us a winner!

Iwobi/V. Moses comes next, good build up play for the goal by Moses and very precise slot in by Iwobi, it's like he just knew we weren't gonna get a second chance.

Generally, good play by the team, Mikel Obi was calming things down in the middle, and Ndidi really put in effort to make up for Onazi's absence because Mikel Agu was a bit shaky.

Ekong played well at the back too, Echiejile tried at the back and Ola Aina showed fighting spirit when he replaced him.

Ighalo wasn't really at the top of his game today buy he kept the Zambian defenders back, and our homeboy Ezenwa didn't have much to worry about because of good defending, when the occasion did call he responded.

Balogun & Ekong (dependable 5&6). They even played 4, when onazi left. They helped 3 and 2 position very much as well.
I must commend iwobi, not mainly for the goal alone bt because he helped open and change the game, shehu and mikel greatly.
The zambians were great and tactically better.
When onazi left, ndidi would hv play number 4, then mikel play ndidi's position and iwobi would hv come in and play mikel's position ie ndidi, mikel and iwobi would have plan the midfield much better.
We thank God for the favour and pray the NFF/Govt provides all that is needed for Gernot Rohr to prepare them well for the world cup.
