A criminal suspect who is called Pally – Young or P – Young by his gang members has been arrested. The suspect's real name, Augustine Uchenna, a member of the 10 man gang arrested last week by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.

Pally Young, a father of seven and erstwhile “Danfo” driver was lurred into robbery by the gang’s leader, Isima, alias Cmans, himself, a danfo driver.

Pally’s first operation was in Ayobo. Isima, as typical had done the surveillance of the targets earlier in the day. At 10:00 p.m, they proceeded to the area and planned to hide in an uncompleted building before heading to their target. They were met by a guard, who subjected them to rigorous questioning that prompted them to run for cover.

That night, P – Young and two other members of the gang were arrested and had to spend 13 months behind bars. Only Isima escaped.

When he regained freedom his wife called him and warned him never to return to his vomit but days after his release, other gang members invited him to Isima’s residence and hosted him.

Thereafter, the gang regrouped and planned another operation in Ayobo again. Isima did the survey of where they were to strike. On the D – day, they entered the street but the vigilante, sighted them. They were chased. While they ran helter-skelter, P-Young, saw a church having a vigil, he entered it and was with them till morning.

According to P – Young, that very night, he made up his mind never to follow the gang on operations again. That was the second unsuccessful operation of P – Young with the gang.

Sensing P – Young was bringing his ill – luck to the gang, they connived to leave him out of subsequent operations.

Since February, 2017 when they stopped inviting him to operations, the rest of the gang had a field day in Ipaja and Ayobo axis robbing residents and taking away their property and cars.

Recently, the team was arrested by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad, Lagos. Listed in the past exploits of the gang is P-Young.

He is helping the police to shed more light on what he knows about the gang.

Because the govt kills and go Scot free, others will always try. It's a lawless failed country.

This is thick, father of seven. As old as u look, u still have no source of livelihood. Igbo will always be Igbo. They just want to hammer without due dilligent. Crime cannot be rationalized. If he and his gang robbed you, will you say the same? He is not above other men who are legitimately eeking out a living to sustain their families.

I am having very bad financial problems and sometimes it is very hard to resist the urge to steal.
I can relate. However, stealing can never be the solution. hard work pays.
Desist from stealing because it metamorphoses into robbery.
A word is enough for the wise.
