The University of Ilorin today announced that it Produced 89 First class students, as it is set to graduate 9,018 students in it’s 33rd convocation ceremonies. This was announced during the press briefing to kick off the university’s 33rd convocation ceremonies. 89- first class 1932- second class (upper) 3727- second class (lower) 1309- third class 117- pass 70 – MBBs 30-pharmacy 4- vet 29 – Nursing Congratulations to all graduands� 1 Like |

these first class folks could surprisingly perform woefully in Caltech or MIT in Massachusetts . Nigerian Universities ain't shit. read and cram and you come out with first class. we need to up our Universities standard actually. more of practicals,more of time to study and not just rushing and cramming. we need to encourage productivity and will to innovate in Universities rather than encouraging read and cram 1 Like |

sinceraconcept:Unless you graduated with a first class, you are unqualified to say anything about the quality of a first class graduate. Even in those private universities that are an inch short of being a secondary school, achieving a first class there is still a difficult task else,the universities would be producing 95% first class. And to correct your thoughts, yes there's alot of cramming going on in Nigerian universities,but more practicals won't solve the problem. The basis of for any proper technological advances lies in a deep understanding of the laws and theories guiding it. If you have a good understanding of the theory of operations, applying it wouldn't be a problem,so more practicals isn't a bad idea but a system that focuses on demystifying the laws and principles of technology and giving students a fundamental knowledge would be best. 4 Likes |
