Mamas please what else can i use to alleviate immunisation fever? My trusted Calpol has failed me. I have given it to her about 5times between 11am yesterday and 4pm today but her temp is still alternating between 37.5 and 37.7. I have used warm water to run her down, changed her clothes to something light weight too but still yet,no improvement. This is the crankiest and clingiest i have seen my baby. I have been in one spot since 9am as she has refused to be put down. Every slight change in my position elicits a heart wrenching cry. I put a damp wash cloth on her forehead and neck which helped to cool her body down a bit but hubby did not think it was a good idea so I had to remove it. I know it will soon pass but I can't bear to see her like this. Is there any other tricks I can try? Edakun please epp me

The damp cloth is actually a good idea! Try it again and keep her bare for a couple of mins. If its still very high kindly head back to the hospital.

Lots of breastmilk and TLC solved ours when we had our sixth week immunisation! It was crazy. She will be fine by tomorrow hopefully.

The wound should not be large, all you need to do is ensure you clean the site 2ice a day with cotton bud and spirit and turn the earing to stop the hole from healing and sticking to the earring.

I hope the earing is not "kpanda" i.e fake gold or poor quality gold plated . as a big wound could be as a result of reaction to the nickel content. If it is a good quality gold plated studs you shouldnt have such issues.

The hole will close back if you do not keep the earring in. U would suggest you go and get a good quality gold plated, sterling silver or 18 carrat gold stud earinga and put back in. You may want to dip it in spirit to sterilize it before putting back in the ear if an open wound is still there

Or you forfiet the hole, let it heal properly and you will have to re-piece it at a later date, when the child is older.

No offense intended but 5.5kg at 7months is quite low. What was her birth weight? Have you taken her to the hospital and what did the doctors say?

That's so ewwww! Raw eggs is even not safe for an adult due to the bacteria in it. That woman is your enemy.

Someone suggested Nurofen for babies during fever.
Maybe you should try that.
