Pathetic people everywhere. How much did they "competition" pay you Mr. Biola Kazeem? TSTV decoders are out and some are using it but their commercialization will start on 1st November, 2017. Why not wait till then before you dish out your assertions that nobody even seem to care about?

Yea they promised us and they didn't collect our money because same people like you will term them criminals. Let me tell you Mr. if you don't know;

A product can be launched and it will take even 3 months for it to be available for purchase. Sometimes you can even pre-order the product. You are not a businessman anyway so I don't expect you to know all this but you should have at least done your research before labeling a company unprofessional or likening them to MMM which I wouldn't be surprised you lost your money in.

On TSTV am speaking from a reliable source, some Nigerians have started enjoying it benefits.

There are people that pre-ordered even before the hype and they are enjoying the benefits. Very soon more will be in the Market.

Most Nigerians are not only gullible but also greedy, this is why 419ers are still in business.

But the biggest scam of all time was the packaging of Mohammadu Buhari by APC, Nigerians didn't ask questions.

Some of you lots on nairaland are predictably irrational! Why must everything have a tribal coloration? I can give you names of lots of businesses that both Yorubas and Fulanis/Hausas have run and they ended up a colossal flop. TSTV has not even gone on air and you are already tagging it a failed business! With all the talk about how Nigeria is paying the highest DSTV subscription I just decided this morning to google the prices of Satellite TV subscriptions in US, UK and some selected African countries. What I saw was really an eye opener (see below) as it appears as if Nigeria actually pays the lowest. I will really want people living in these countries to confirm if the information I got online is accurate or not.

See the prices:

USA
Dish network
Premium $80/month = N28800
Cheapest Plan $40/month = N14400

DirectTV
Premium $125/month = N45108
Cheapest plan $30/month = 10800

UK
Sky Premium GBP60/mth = N28528
Virgin GBP55/mth = N26150

AFRICA

GHANA (DSTV)
Premium – GHC330 = N26,900
Access – GHC35 = N2,846

SOUTH AFRICA (DSTV)
Premium – R789 = N21,232
Access – R99 = N2,600

ANGOLA (DSTV)
Mega – AKZ13400 = N28738
Access – AKZ1,650 = N3538

CHAD/CAMEROUN (DSTV)
Premium - $82 = N29591
Access - $12 = N4,330

NIGERIA (DSTV)
Premium – N14,700
Access – N1900

Renowned sport analyst Biola Kazeem has taken to Twitter to express his thoughts on the inability of TSTV to commence operation 17 days after launching. He also flayed Nigerians on their gullibility and willingness to accept promises without questioning

See his tweets below

If you want to understand why MMM cleaned out in Nigeria, just looked at how supposedly even educated people gobbled TSTV’s promises

A company shows up, promises illogical things & when you ask normal questions, you are labelled an unpatriotic enemy & shouted down

All explanations as to how TV rights work met deaf ears. Supposedly educated people who should know better too jumped on the wagon

It is 17 days after launch, no decoder, no transmission & letters of disassociation from supposed channels partners are piling up.

It is tragic that Nigerians are so gullible. So easily moved by promises too good to be true. So unquestioning & lacking curiosity.

Where in the world is premium cable content cheap? Where in the world is a luxury service deemed a commodity & sold at value prices?

It is only in Nigeria that even educated people are convinced PREMIUM entertainment content should be cheap. HITV tried that model & failed

To disguise the mass foolishness of gobbling up promises without questions, DSTV is now said to be sabotaging TSTV. How so? No answer.

How come DSTV did not sabotage StarTimes who are doing extremely well? Kwese who have done some solid work in rights acquisition. How?

Then came the “TSTV is our own.”How so?You have shares there?Your father has shares there? You will get a share of profits? How is it our own?

Supposedly educated said TSTV will employ 5,000 Nigerians so we must support. The people in the DSTV ecosystem in Nigeria are who? Japanese

The people in the Startimes and Kwese ecosystem are from Nicaragua apparently. Only TSTV will employ Nigerians.Epidemic ignorance lives here

The cable TV category is powered by content you have acquired. It is not powered by faux patriotism, or tax breaks or anything else.

If TSTV are serious, they will invest money in acquiring the content people want to watch & not make false promises.

No serious company “launches” and products remain inaccessible for over month. Logic will tell you something doesn’t add up.

But logic doesn’t live in Nigeria. Only ignorance. That’s why MMM took all your life savings. That’s why TSTV got tax break from FG

That’s why people believed you can show content someone BOUGHT exclusively. That’s why you think DSTV is an enemy & TSTV is ours.

Till logic replaces ignorance even with supposedly educated people, there will be more MMMs preying on the mass idiocy of Nigerians. Selah.

What you failed to understand is that Launch date is not same as Date of sales. We are too quick to judge and deviate from global sales practice.

I give you an example, Iphone 10 (also referred to as Iphone X) was launched in September. We are already in October, no one has bought any one because they said the sales will commence in November.

The HTC U11 phone was Launched and announced in May 2017 to a wide audience of tech guys and journalists but the sales only commenced in June

Do you now think that Apple is fraudulent to have launched a product whose sales did not commence on same date? You need to know what is happening in the world today. Sales practice are changing and you need to understand the dynamics.

Op, this is where they are now. You can get its test transmission signal for now with any HD free to air decoder like Strong, and later when they are done, the channels will be encrypted which can ONLY be accessed with TSTV decoder. Pls when they are fully operational, make another thread later to counter this one.

One of the much talked about Bein Sports is on air now as can be seen in the list below

The fact that the decoders are not yet up for sale means Nigerians are gullible? This man sef!Wait till their sales in November plus operation.Everybody must not watch football. As more more fans of UEFA as more and more fans of Nat Geo.For now I comment my reserve. When Nigerians were promised per second billing, same fellow Nigerians said it wont work.Tstv wants to do things in another form other than the traditional ways and u called us mmm? This guy is sick. When did you see iphone x in the market after launch.12 days from now is not long. Not until u meet those testing this decoder will u believe it will work superabundantly.

I addressed this issue on linkedin when the popular prof nkweke analysed why TSTV cannot out sell DSTV. TSTV is just like every other competition startimes, CAN, METRO, Trend TV. Its not like the competition is not there but the content and that is what DSTV has. EVeryone has got their Go tocompany for certain products and services. DSTV is one for many. Will TSTV have an exclusive production like MNET? if No, then they ought to stop this hype about their services. The problem is many Nigerians are very gullible and uninformed!

Does Bien Sports1 show EPL and La Liga? Note that Bien has over 10 sports channels just like Super Sports. For e.g. if you have Super Sports 1, or 9, you wont be watching EPL or La Liga.

Also from the list, I can see that the channels are all free to air channels.

After reading your writes up, I am not surprised, we all part of the "bring him down'' syndrome, we don't encourage ourselves. Lots of starts up have come and gone because we do not have the will power to support our own. For once can't we have a thing we can call ours? Ethiopia have their airline and coffee going for them, they even boast of their own telecom company, though its state controlled, Kenya have their Parks and Tourism. But we here, we always have this penchant of going for foreign goods at the expense of our product, how do we grow? I honestly pray that TSTV bounces back, have heard of tales of how the major competitor went about going to companies that gave TSTV content right to broadcast their channel 5Million dollars to cancel their agreement. and we are so gullible, happy that TSTV is going down, will not live up to its promises, but note this, if our mindset is always this way, we will never grow individually and as a nation. When you glorify at others down fall, you can never grow. For me, nothing makes the world interesting as having choices to make from. its like the Telecom industry, i can bet you no sane individual have just a sim to one network only. we all have various sims, and we can all give plausible explanation for it, for me, Glo for data, as Glo is the best in data in my area, MTN my major personal line for calls and Airtel for my official line.
In summary, lets try and support our own, encourage ourselves and we will all grow. That you can afford to pay 14k to watch your premium content provided by one competitor should not stop Mr. B to enjoy same content provided by another competitor at a cheaper price. live and lets live.

Will you guys stop this childish rant? If TSTV got the rights from the content owners, there is no way those people will come back and remove the rights. It will be breach of contract!
