He talked about "the need to project power all over the world, giving the US a first-strike edge in any part of the world", proving my point that America's Military presence anywhere always has strings attached---NAKÉD SELF-INTEREST.

I'm doing good, you? How was your day?

Being world power is projected on two scales. The first is Economic while the second is military.
If we sum up these two points, it will be safe to say US still holds the key while China is busy playing catch up game in both
the US is only pretending to have the key and everyone else is pitching their camp in China.

Fear of Death does not make you weak. It means you have a lot to lose.
And the US is a democracy, parents don't like their kids going to fight foreign wars, and so the US politicians are wary of the backlash.
And besides, Why should they risk their lives when they have hundreds of reaper and predator drones that can do the Job from the sky?
Nobody likes a long conflict. The soviet union ran away from Afghanistan and disintegrated into pieces after a long conflict there that sapped men and resources.
Believe me, with US resources and tech, she can survive long conflicts than any country in the world.
Worse come to worse, drones will take over. Which country in the world has the resources to match that?
in any real war situation among powers , drones would be useless
They would drop from the sky like rocks

The US has gone beyond manufacturing, though Trump wants to bring it back by reducing taxes and bringing back US companies looking for cheap labour in china back home.
Anybody can manufacture. It is not difficult especially with cheap labour. The difficult thing is creating the intellectual property which is a product of innovation.
If the US and china were to go to the war, the US government would immediately enforce the patriot act compelling all US manufacturers like Apple, HP, TESLA, DELL, e.tc. in china to come back home immediately.
And that would severely cripple china as the world's manufacturing giant to a very very large extent.
China has one of the world largest consumer market.with their current status , the dollar will be worthless once China compell nations to stop trading with the dollar.

you are contradicting yourself.
US spend more than 80% of its military budget on hardwares and military researches. (F-35 comes to mind). You can take a ride to DARPA website and confirm.
Have you ever seen a month that Pentagon doesn't award contract the likes of Lockheed, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics e.t.c for one hardware or the other.

Secondly, there is need to project power all over the world giving US first-strike edge in any part of the world. This needs to be matched with fat budget.
F-35 was severely damaged by Syria S200 few days ago.

If China as a country is as Democratic, a country as United States; and if China practices capitalism like the U.S.; then I would have agreed with the op.

Considering the fact China is not fully as democratic as U.S and the fact that it practices communism, we must know that China has not gotten to the world stage where it will challenge or detrone the U.S. as the world super power.

The civilized countries of the world will readily rally behind the United States than behind China because of the above two factors I pointed above.

WHO WOULD PREFER A COMMUNIST LESS- DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY LIKE CHINA OVER A LIBRAL AND MOST-DEMOCRATIC U.S?

Note: China is simply reaping their benefit of offering cheap labour, and manufacturers are cashing in on that. But, compared to the U.S. China is still learning.

Up till today, fakeness is stii associated with the name CHINA.
you need to see how they are all running to China

Cheap labour, nothing more.
A 1.2 billion population has enormous capacity for very cheap labour, not to mention child workers who earn less than a dollar a day.
Try that in America and you would go to to prison for slave labour.
Labour in America is very expensive, even though most of the technology being manufactured in china was designed from America.

Compel the rest of the world with what? With their own worthless currency that is always being manipulated to keep cost of manufacturing low?

I assumed you were talking about conflicts in third world countries like afgahnsitan or Syria, not among world powers.
Even in a war among world powers, the US has the resources to outlast them all.
And unlike those foreign wars that are most times unnecessary, this would be a war for survival and it would be a fight to finish with no consideration and so the US would be far more invested.

with their Yuan to gold exchange. What choice do you have if the world's manufacturing hub refuse to sell you anything because you're using dollar.
2hat choice to you have, if they refuse to give you loans because you use dollar in your trades.

They are running to China for loans, for their expertise, for their ability to put up stuff in a very limited amount of time (efficiency) and so much more.

one thing China has mange to do is not to leave it currency to speculation else the fate facing the US would befall it. The same globalist would take over, a nightmare they are so willing to avoid. Even if they would have to mine gold from space, they would.

You are Joking right?
When the US has Apple, Micrsosft, HP,DELL under its control via the patriot law.
Microsoft can create the fastest computer in a year if need be. That is not a problem for the US.
The US can at anytime cyber-infiltrate Chinese government and infrastructure with their own cyber resources on ground already. So there is no rush.

They can if there is a need.
The US already has an enormous computing power at its disposal that can serve them very effectively. Not to mention their satellites and enormous electronic spying capability that is un-rivalled in the world.
The day the US need the fastest computer in the world to hack China, they would build it.
It is also the same argument people make when they say Russia has the world's biggest nuke as a scare tactics. If the US needs the biggest nuke, they would build it in 6 months.
