By the way, what is email copywriting?

Email Copywriting is the art of writing powerful emails that forces the reader to open the email and convinces them to take whatever action you want them to take.

It’s a skill that only very few people have mastered and those who have mastered it are banking huge income from it every month.

Personally, it’s the skill I sell on Fiverr which earned me over 6million naira in the past 20 months. I wrote about it last month.

But how can you make money from this skill?

That’s a nice question; after all of what use is a skill if you can’t make money or improve your life with it?

There are basically two or should I say three ways you can make money for yourself if you can learn how to write emails:

You can sell the skill on Freelance platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, etc.


This is the easiest way to get started with the skill as you won’t need to spend money unless of course your data cost.

You see, business owners and internet marketers all around the world know the importance of email marketing. They know that if they can get and send a powerful email to their email subscribers, they can earn thousands of dollars from it.

Because of this, they are willing to pay email copywriters big bucks to help them write powerful emails for them. They can pay you from $30 - $100 depending on your bargaining power and how you package yourself before them.

So if you can learn the art of email copywriting, you can go create a profile for yourself on Fiverr and tell them that you are a great email copywriter. You will surely get good paying orders for yourself with this skill.

Or won’t you like to get paid $30 (N9,000) for a job that will take you just 10-15 minutes to do?

2: Make thousands of dollars as an affiliate marketer

This is the best aspect of becoming an email copywriter, even though you will require money and time to start playing on this level.

If you don’t know what affiliate marketing is, I will tell you quickly.

Affiliate marketing involves helping others sell their products online and making commissions from each sale.

If you have seen many people post about earning $500 - $1,000 per day, it is through affiliate marketing and here’s how they do it.

They simply send powerful emails to their email subscribers promoting a particular product. When their subscribers click on the link on the email and buy the product, they get a commission from it.

Now, if you are an email copywriter and you go into affiliate marketing, you can easily make money every single day by sending out just one email every day.

I’m talking about earning hundreds of dollars just by sending out emails.

However, for you to have your own email subscriber who you will promote products to, you need to spend money to get it.

That’s why I’d always recommend that you start from freelancing if you are new.

When you get money from it, you can then invest it to get your own email subscribers so you can start playing the big league; affiliate marketing.

How can you learn email copywriting?

The truth is that it takes a lot of time, practice and patience to learn email copywriting. This could take anything from 6months to one year.

You’d also need to pay for copywriting courses, which could go anywhere from $99 to $249.

You can also choose to learn it yourself by studying free materials online and developing yourself overtime. Even though this takes a longer time, it is worth it.

But if you are like me that want everything fast, there is a third alternative: get a software that can help you craft powerful emails fast even without previous experience.

With this software, you can go ahead and create a profile and gig on Fiverr or Upwork and start selling your email copywriting services there.

And trust me that with this skill, you can earn far more than a Federal Civil Servant or banker if you offer it as a service on Fiverr. And if you eventually upgrade to affiliate marketing, you can earn more than oil company workers.

Don’t stay there waiting for the Government to give you job or to raise hundreds of thousands or even millions of naira to start a business.
