why did I make this statement let me share something that happened few days back.

a guy was introduced to me sometime ago that he needs help with a job.
As God will have it ,I was able to link him up with one. He was accepted and told to come for a meeting{not even interview} as he was from me and i know the employer personally.

This is the annoying part, The meeting was scheduled for 10am. My Employer called me by 11:15am and complained that he is yet to see the guy that was supposed to be offered the job. He then later called and said the guy just called around few mins to 12pm saying he is on his way..."imagine". 12pm for a meeting slated for 10am. and evenso as d employer said, its not that he is even there yet ,he said he is on his way. My friend said he told him not to bother anymore.

The guy (unemployed guy) later called me saying they told him that he shouldnt bother agin after telling him to come yesterday.. He was trying to tell me to help attend to the matter..

I was annoyed and asked him was he late??...and you know what the "yeye" guy said

He said "u know one cant cheat nature". meaning he slept off.. Imagine ,,jobless for over five months if not more and you finally get a break and your lame excuse is "sleep' ..If that was what i did you darn well will not have me to even consider asking to help out. I sent him a strong worded text message. and told him not to bother reaching me again.

Your points are not enough to condemn a job seeker as you say here. As far as I'm concerned, if I've a better offer I'll always go for it. Who knows whether the job seeker you describe here had a better offer.
I once once told by someone to go and take up the job of Sales Executive in insurance company, but I rejected it. If the person that sent me to go there later say what you are saying now, I will not take the person to be lazy.
The truth is that the job you linked him is one of these jobs that the pay is not encouraging. Giving another job let's say in Chevron, he will prove you wrong.

I think you owe the employer an apology for even introducing that guy to him. That's all you need to do.

Did you read the story at all? Which other offer did he receive? Someone who had a lackadaisical attitude towards the interview from the onset. Did he even go there to find out what the pay would look like before coming to that conclusion. Read and comprehend before you reply mbok.

Hello Nairalanders, My brother just got an invite for interview at
Christ College Ibafo, not the Ikeja day school. Pls do anybody
here know the conditions of service in the school. As per if the
environment is friendly or hostile.
He is not desperate for a job, as he presently works in a well
paying school. But just in search of greener pastures. I told
him I will seek advice here on his behalf before he commit
himself.

Two years ago the minimum was 70k and i dont think they give accommodation. Perhaps I can help u confirm.
They pay promptly and they dont owe salaries.

Anyone who has information on TutorDoctor, Lekki should please supply me.. I have written their assessment test, and after two weeks I was called that I passed and invited for oral interview. On the said day, I had left the Mainland as early as 8.00am for the island where the interview would take place.. Few minutes to the commencement of the interview I was called again and told the interview had been canceled. I became furious and confused as I was in the bus already. Though I was rescheduled to attend the interview today, but I did not go. I feel I need to research them before I can take them seriously this time around....
