A 40-year-old dowager with three children, Mrs Joy Oluchi Osuchukwu, has been shocked to death by stripped streetlight links purportedly relinquished indiscreetly by a few authorities of Ebonyi State's Ministry of Power.

The catastrophe occurred before Udoka Hall! along Water Works Road in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi state.

The Late Oluchi hailed from Umunze people group in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State, yet was hitched to Late Mr Kingsley Osuchukwu from Nneato people group in Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State who kicked the bucket four years prior.

The late dowager, until the point when her demise worked at Ezza South Local Government Headquarters of Ebonyi state.

They affirmed that they had begged them to cover it before leaving yet they gave them feeble reason that they would return later and left.

"That same day, at around 8:30pm, the lady went through that zone not realizing that there were stripped links there and she was shocked in a split second", described one of them.

At the point when DAILY POST went to her family habitation situated on No 27 Ukwansi Street behind the Udoka Hall, the Chairman of Umunze Town Union, Ebonyi State section, Mr Uchenna Joseph Obi, portrayed that her kinswoman, Oluchi, had come back from the congregation before the disaster struck.

This was even as he faulted the authorities of the state's Ministry of Power for being in charge of her unfavorable passing.
