you'll fall long before a snake would loosen its grip due to your shaking.

Two, I don't think lions find snakes palatable,

even if the snake falls into the water, it'll out swim a crocodile any day.

you are still stuck with an impatient lion waiting for you and a hungry croc... need I remind you lions climb trees though not as well as leopards, but they are still cats...
