sorry dude. It will take a Nigerian doing menial job in the US. twenty years to be able to complete a duplex. Unless they are involved in shady deals it is impossible. Even middle class Americans who make $57,000 annually cant save a thousand dollars monthly. When you get to America the hidden truth will ne revealed to you
stop this your lie, I no of a some one in america who I believed he's doing a menial job but he owns a duplex here in yenagoa and even sent his parents a car from Texas.

Where did i say 1.2M is much?? Show me. By the way, that's for a senior level office not manager... grin Managers earn 1.8-2.0 and above...Find out you'll see

It depends on what you mean by "manager". Some branch managers are ABOs whose salaries are somewhere around 350k pm.

Re: Lies Of Nigerians Living In America by Nobody: 9:39am On Oct 29, 2017
Comparing Nigeria with America? Really? Even Benin Republic is better than Nigeria.
They have a system that works. Basic amenities are what they are: Basic things that every Tom, Dick and Harry has.

Do you know what it feels like to have electricity every single second of every single day of your life? To drive on good roads, to have your basic rights respected? To be able to afford food? To send your kids to the best school in the world. To know that in case anything happens to you, your children will be catered for?

Here basic amenities are electoral promises that the foolish politicians dangle at us every 4years make the gullible ones vote.

How many people earn 80,000/month in Nigeria? Really how many?
So many things to say but as I dey type I just dey vex.
Nigeria is not fit to be mentioned in the same sentence with The U.S.

The OP is the biggest joke himself. Please how many Nigerians attain the level of branch managers. As a young Nigerian you better off in US than in nigeria earning 100-150k. This OP dey vex me you want 140million Nigerians to wait for branch managers position. Even the rich send their kids to go hustle for Yankee.
Bro if u earn 100-150k in Nigeria you r still even a big boy... Many peeps earns 30-50k per month

Hollywood has done a lot of damage to you when you can easily use google and check on a reliable site. Well I will help you but your problem is that you don't read. Americans who are first class citizens can't even save for a down payment in 10 yrs. Please take the pain to read, it will help you from being disgraced all the time.

even in many african countries. The standard of living is far better than nigeria. And secondly, there is something very funny about the way we africans or should I say nigerians see things. Why do ppl take house building as a sign or measurement of success? So once someone can build a house, iit means he is auccessful

Only old pensioners u can see such money on their account here. I gat many friends here they account only what 4£ to 5£. Because oyibo no fit dey keep money for account as em come na so dem dey spend am ohhh. Plus taxes wey go hammer some of the money take. Not like African that good while come to saving.

Do you know what the average bank manager earns atall?

Allow me educate you, seems like you don't..A Masters/PhD bank manager earns atleast 1.2 Million Per Month... You can't compare this with the yankee hustler..

Yet, bank managers are resigning to go and start afresh in UK, Canada, US, Australia.

kai,100k in naira is equal to about 1000ghana cedis, a menial labourer in ghana now earns 50ghc a day which is about 5k ,which minus weekend s equals the big boy salary of 100k in naija

well with 250k you can get a nice two bedroom in most states in Nigeria

Oga thats a very big fat lie. In this present Naija, you can't get a 2bed apartment for that amount, except of course in an underdeveloped area. I was at Abuja recently to visit a family there. They are a young couple with 2 kids. Thay stay in a 2 bed apartment and they pay a milli per annum.

Also, i have been to America amd planning to finally relocate there. I was there for 6 months this year already and i know how life is there and know what Naija people there are achieving. Believe it or not, an ordinary salary earner or even a cab driver in America is far better than a bank manager here in Naija. After house rent, gas and electricity bills, Naija people over there still get to send money down home here and build houses and have investments here. That your assumption that a person doin normal job there can never build a duplex here till next 20 years is a big fat lie, make more research. You claim most Americans dont have up to 10k savings in theor account? You really more ignorant. Have you asked yourself this, the Americans people getting scammed of thousands of dollars through wire, dating etc, how do those people get those savings? There are lots of Americans with as much as between 100k to over 1milli savings in their accounts. Get ya facts right.

Also, even if we wanna assume "Okay, most Americans dont have up to 10k savings" dont you fink they might not feel the need to? Since they are earning their income constantly without getting owed like Naija Govt does and they get money to meet their needs at the right time cos payment is stable. Also, they feel its their country and no need saving up since they aint planning runnin to any other place. And also, they have everything within their reach e.g power supply, water, good roads, health care etc. A serious Naija citizen would feel the need to be saving up constantly cos he knows its not his country and he has to tie things down back home. Definitely, he would be saving every dime he has to spare and send down here to be getting projects done and investments set up.

Naija people in yankee with decent jobs are making waves here in Naija, get yo facts right and stop being ignorant.

That amount won't get you a room self con in Abuja, Lagos or PH which can't even measure with any city in America in social amenities. Stop the exaggerations. Do you even live in Nigeria? This country is hell and you are here talking trash from statistics you got from the Internet.

Well you can't get 2bedroom flat in Lagos with that price in close proximity. Unless Lagos boundary where you spend more than 4 to 5hrs locating your office.
By own take.

God bless America! Is it not the same bank manager that collects their percentage from yahoo boys.

The emphasis is on grade salaries not kick backs or been gratified for assisting someone in the bank.

I still give it to the bank manager in Nigeria than someone doing menial jobs in the US.

I also intend to relocate. Not that i live poorly, but the stress level is on overdrive, one could lose one's mind just walking around metropolitan areas like Lagos..The mental condition of many Nigerians are dilapidated due to the problems that surrounds... too much challenges, why won't they relocate? Many times, relocating takes place when they have saved enough funds, and not to seek greener pastures. The climes there are saner.
