That was his view, before meeting messi. You should go and ask him now, if he won't laugh it off.

You are too dumb for your own good, He made a mistake that is why he had to resort to tackle as the last resort. Its simple English

How many minutes did Arbeloa play in the world cup final or any of the CL final. Arbeloa just like Terry was a no show in the final and just collected the medal

Boateng was a key member of the world cup winning team and MOTM in the final, Boateng was a key member in the CL winning team and one of the best outfield players in the final

Which of these can we say about carry along Terry whose only relevance is at polling booths never on the field

MOTM on ogbomosho vanguard newspapers.

Even in ucl final, below was boathand nodding like an amateur and borrussia countered to force another fraud, dante, to give away a penalty for their equaliser. Key ko, padlock ni.

80% of goals conceded by bayern can be traced to Calamitous alagolo's stupidity cheesy

Yes. You can educate yourself from any of those links below

Jérôme Boateng 9

Made a vital clearance after a surging run from Messi and was always quick to snuff out danger. Quick, calm and authoritative, his displays in Brazil have been a revelation and he was man of the match
Jérôme Boateng was man of the match, Lionel Messi menaced the German defence and Philipp Lahm ran riot
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/jul/13/germany-argentina-brazil-2014-worlds-cup-final-player-ratings

for Germany there was Jérôme Boateng and Philipp Lahm – as they thwarted attack after attack
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup/10964539/World-Cup-2014-Bastian-Schweinsteiger-drives-Germany-to-victory-in-enthralling-final.html

Jerome Boateng (Defender) - 9

Jerome Boateng
Got better as the match progressed. Made a number of important tackles and clearances after initially being troubled by the pace of the Argentine counter-attacks. The Bayern centre-back was dominant and was Germany's star performer. Man of the match.

Rio Ferdinand's view: "Boateng was immense today."

Thiago Alcantara has scored in all of his 3 matches against Leipzig. Another goal today, perhaps?
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 5:17pm On Oct 28, 2017
Lineups are out.
Ulreich; Kimmich, Hummels, Boateng, Alaba; Martinez, Rudy; Robben, Thiago, James; Lewandowski.

Dortmund lost 4-2 today at Hannover so big chance for both sides to claim top spot. Looking forward to another great game.
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by pkasso(m): 6:32pm On Oct 28, 2017
2-nil at the break. James and Lewy with the goals. Smooth and easy with Leipzig having a man sent off, again!

The only bad news is Lewy has gone off injured.
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by A40(m): 12:10pm On Oct 30, 2017
Jupp really stabilizing things so far. The real test still lies ahead tbh but I like what I've seen thus far. The penalties from that Pokal Final just got me wishing we played penalties that way in that Final in Munich.

James looked very good on Saturday. I don't know if he can keep this up but listening to Jupp's post-match comments it seems Baba is talking to each player and building on their confidence levels every time. I still worry about our attack though! Robben and Lewy are bang out of form! I take God beg our FO to try and get Alexis by January because I no trust that our attack for elite Europe. That explosive wing play wey Jupp take win treble no dey again.

Question for the house though. Who should be our starting midfield combination if everyone is fit? I'd go for Rudy-Javi-Thiago or Rudy-Thiago-Tolisso. Not sure how much more of Vidal's reckless moves I can take

No need to make excuses for Boateng. In the words of Clive, "Jerome Boateng has Reached the promiseland". The 29 year old has achieved all that his heart desires over a short space of time. If He were to hang up His boot tomorrow, He'll forever be refered to as "One of the greatest German defenders of all time" when His CV is read aloud.

Which useless defenders won't He displace at those aforementioned clubs? If He signs for any of those clubs, they'll happily send their okrika defenders out on loan. They'll even add Money as Jara sef.

Jerome "Nwa Ewu Oro" Boateng. Abeg Dayo gimme those giffs of Jerome sodomising all comers in the Worldcup finals.
No EPL defender today has achieved Boateng's status both individually and on the back of titles won. Btw how you reason that Joshua/Takam fight? Can I get a phuck you to that ref for stopping the fight prematurely! Takam was not on the ropes neither was he out on his feet AJ was comfortable but didn't need any help from that bloodclart ref.

Wilder/Stiverne this weekend!! This year is truly a boxing fans wet dream cc @Nihilist Afrodoc

A little prematurely? Maybe. But fights are stopped earlier these days because of all the research on brain damage. He was getting punched directly on both sides of the head by a HEAVYWEIGHT who is known to be an unsually hard hitter, and he couldn't keep his guard up.
Ref probably prolonged his life, boxing career and improved his quality of retirement life with that little kind gesture.

AJ moved up really quickly so what he lacks in experience he makes up for in instinct and natural talent plus he is smart too.
It was the Klitschko fight that showed me how smart he was. If you watch closely the Klitschko punch didn't knock him down, he went to the ground intentionally himself to avoid further punishment, take the count and clear his head.
Any other boxer would have done eegun ori, stay up taken 2 or 3 more punches for Klitschko and been done for the night.

Interesting insight there doc.

I must admit that I never even considered that angle, but I suppose that's one way of buying time, provided you're not worried about preserving your knockdown record.

Yes the guy is very smart, and very technical.

His technicality his size amazing. The way he drops combinations is mouth watering. His agility and hand speed is too too good

I love boxers who can actually box, nor just bruteforcing their way through bouts with sheer punching power.

I was very doubtful about this guy, but he keeps showing me different angles to his game. He can give you sweet science and he can dasi rough.

He might just be the chosen one

Unbeaten record better pass knockdown record. I saw that move and i just confirmed this is a guy who does not forget boxing tutorials.
Trust me these are tips given to every pro boxer but in the heat of battle many forget what they have been taught, Joshua didn't forget.

Wilder has the advantage in experience and reach AND because he is a swin.ger he is the one more likely to have a knockout via a lucky punch.
Joshua is younger, faster, more skilled as a boxer and possibly hits harder BUT can sometimes be too measured with his punches.

I think it will come down to stamina and chin. AJ wins if he exploits the weaknesses in Wilder's style.

I boxed at amateur level and even that's new to me. The tactics I learnt were mostly ring control( centre, angles, inside/outside boxing) and conditioning(how to take a punch, guard, grappling) etc.

This is the first time I'm hearing about this tactic of going down to but time. I guess you learn every dat.

If Joshua circles from right to the left, through out the match, then that's Wilder done.

Wilder has no fundamentals. No footwork, basic combinations, and everything he does is geared towards setting up that right hook.

If Joshua takes him on the inside and circles clockwise, it could be over by the 5th or 6th.

When Muhammed Ali was in trouble against Henry Cooper, Ali's corner man tore his gloves in between rounds just so they had to extend the rest period to allow Ali put on new gloves. This gave Ali time to recover and go on and win the fight.
So many tricks in the book but basic thing is you don't take punishment that you can avoid.

Wilder is really ugly to watch. And you are on point about him. He has no footwork, no set up game, does not jab effectively, has not shown any defence to speak of and is all right hook.
But that hook seems to have poison in it. I saw a fight where his opponent appeared to be having seizures or something similar after the knockdown.

I see your point fully now doc.

Wilder is a bully, and that right hand is a nuclear weapon....but only the uninitiated need fear him imo.

I heard that Klitschko knocked out Wilder 3 times in sparring...with Bodyshots.

Lewandoski injured and wont play in Scotland

Muller also injured, So no striker available for the game.

Time to look at a backup striker who would be content to sit for most of the season

The Buli teams are coming very hard with intention to hurt our players and they have been succeeding. Coman is out and I fear Robben might be next. We have Lewandoski out now, Same thing we had going into the Madrid and Barcelona game 3 seasons ago? Muller too out.
TIme to think of a backup striker who would be ok with sitting for 80% of the season and play meaningless games or the few times Lewandoski is injured. I dont see any top striker willing to do this,
The option is a old striker who is looking to retire soon or a young striker. Dolberg is 20yrs and will not be good for his development to have him play 5 games a season
I won't mind a useless striker like Giroud just for the role. Since most of the season na to carry jersey not far from his current role in Arsenal. But when we need someone to relieve Lewy, I think he can do it

On your second question,
For me it will depend on the opposition, For a top side away, I will go with Javi Vidal Tolliso. at home I will go with Vidal, Javi/Tolliso, Rudy/Thiago. Our full backs are very offensive and when they lose balls in opponent 3rd, We are often exposed, we will need that dedicated DM like Javi or Tolliso to break up such counters like Fernandinho does at City

Javi is more defensive, Tolliso and Vidal are box to box though Vidal is harder and better for now. Thiago is more creative, So it depends on what our motive for the game is. Creativity to blow out the opponent or solidity to not concede.

Another thing is Vidal has hit 30 this year and would only decline from now. Given he is a player who uses a lot of physicality, Its downwards from here. He is a kneee and ankle injury from losing 30% of his effectiveness.
By summer if we can get Goretzka on a free, I will say sell Vidal to the highest bidder.

Haba make we reason am well well I would understand if Takam was out on his feet or close to the ropes but Takam had been eating those punches all night. The guy's chin is nuclear

I didn't expect AJ's A-game tbh. He was really courageous for taking that fight on such short notice because Takam is a completely different fighter from Pulev. I wanted to see if AJ's chin would get tested but clearly Takam no really get any knockout power. Though he posed some problems for AJ but it was evident AJ wasn't under any threat

I don't know if Takam wanted to be dropped. It's been a while I've seen someone hit with so many heavy blows and simply refused to fall. You could also tell he wasn't out on his feet or anywhere close to the ropes which woulda been a bit more definitive for me. The ref even had Takam on a headlock just to stop the fight by all mean. The problem is that the heavyweight division is populated by too many fufu fighters so it is really difficult to assess the real quality and knockout power of some of the good ones.

Hahaha I thought he blatantly ducked the second oncoming punch. That was very smart! My worry is still with AJ's chin. Klitschko didn't capitalize on the edge he had that night. A Wilder would definitely have knocked him out but Klitschko played it safe and wanted to coast to a decision forgetting he was fighting a younger guy that could regain his strength and go for broke

Yeah he ducked it and quickly went down.
Actually Wilder himself does not appear to have such a solid chin. In one fight with a Latino fight who he later slaughtered Wilder was staggered by a number of just ok punches.
The problem opponents of AJ and Wilder have is that they spend too much time dodging bombs to think about throwing any of their own.
