DHL does business with people not animals and they do it in city not in the bush or forest. The question has become useless with the image attached to it, no need to answer it.

Whether we like it or not part of our signature is our wildlife.
Buildings, skyscrapers, etc, etc are all foreign.
We have just gotten accustomed to the white man's ways that we are quickly forgetting ours.

Why do tourists come to Africa? Is it to hear us speak phonetics , or to view our buildings ? Hell no.
It's to view this and more of our culture - masquerades, shrines, festivals, etc.

They use the picture to make africa look like some kinda jungle where black people live with animals on tree.

When they want to show negative side, they show picture of malnourished kid. when they want to show positive side, they show animals and accients huts.

The reaction is not the photo but the impression they have portrayed African for a very long time. You might not see the impact but alot of whites still think Africa is a country, where people still live on trees with bows and arrows. And for a major company like DHL after doing business all over Africa to come out with just this picture, it just cements the impression on the minds of people who already have that impression. The concept of safari is outdated and Africa as a continent has evolved beyond just safari. This is known to DHL that claimed no one knows Africa better than they do, yet refused to show our development and diversity.

We are more than just safaris. We are unique people that speak more than 2000 languages. That single story must change.

When you go to youtube, you find jokes like (hey a hungry kid in africa could have eaten that, when destroyed iphone or any expensive gadget)
Because there was starvation in one country out of over 54 countries in africa, they had to paint the rest as malnourished continent.

When they want to make movies or documentary about africa, its always thick deserted jungle where hungry people live on tree with animals.

Now a major western courier operating in africa that ought to know better still using the same stereotypical picture of jungle animals to represent africa. What happened to the waterfalls in zimbabwe, the kilimonjaros, the deserts, the beautiful urban cities.
