Nonsense talk! When Christ separated the sheep from the goats, did he ask the number of souls they won? Nope! He asked about the number of people they fed, clothed, helped, the prisoners they visited etc... The goats started to cry that they saved people in his name and performed miracles... but they failed to do this...

I don't knw hw vast u are with d scriptures. U will understand dat even during his earthly ministry jesus saw d need to feed dem thereby meeting their physical need. "man shall not live by bread alone....." so it take both bread n God's word 4 man to live. If u starve of bread and keep feeding him with d word only, u will achieve nothing; and vice-versa. Paul he used every means possible so dat by all means, he would win all yo christ. And quote me empowering the much u can is one of the most effective ways to win souls. Forget the long sermons and do the ryt tin.

This is the true definition of Christianity.. Such works can be compared to the Feeding of the 5000;Providence to those who lack. That is the very foundation of Christianity.

I feel this is boast worthy. Not boast as in pure brag, but this is something the members of the church can actually be happy about.. Unlike those members who think God blesses their pastor because he has Private Jets and Whatnots.

Bros even Jesus preached the TOTAL gospel. Gospel of salvation goes hand in hand with charity. Jesus taught and healed, fed the crowd Atleast twice.

Preaching salvation of the soul and neglecting the physical need of members will not lead to their full emancipation. Tithe and offering is meant to take care of the church and her local members. It's hightime other pastors woke up from their slumbers.

Buying private jets, riding big cars and living in big mansion is good but that is not the end goal of Jesus ministry. The early disciples shared all things in common such that the need of all was met.

This is a commendable effort by the pastor. More grace and burden to touch lives

Do you know how many are sinners because they can't afford to pay for marriage or do not know how many are sinners because even when they have handwork, they cannot afford to get a shop or buy necessary things for themselves? Do you know how many are sinners because they are idle?

Good works must be appreciated and God appreciates it more when it is done out of selfless intentions. The disciple James said in James 1:27 "Pure, unstained religion, according to God our Father, is to take care of orphans and widows when they suffer and to remain uncorrupted by this world."

Help people, show love and watch how people change without you preaching to them.

If the word of God does not do the changing, your philanthropy can't do it at all.

Secondly, what do you understand when the Bible says that if you enemy is hungry, feed them, if he is tasty, give him Watertown drink, that by doing so, you are heaping fiery coal on his head? (read Ro 12:20).

It simply means by your goodness to an enemy, you force him to feel guilty and change. Hot Coal when applied to metal causes it to melt. Same with an iron heart or the heart of an enemy, by your good works, you soften them. That's the best way to win an enemy, not fire for fire.

The point is, preaching the word can change some people. Other it has no effect. But our good works can do more magic than preaching itself. It will cause someone to want to know why you do what you do. Where did you learn to be that good etc.

Also, when you preach the word, it has to reflect on you and how you feel about others. The Bible is filled with so many admonition to help the poor. Religious organizations are rich. So rich and they use most of those money for real estate, buy properties, use them and sell them. While they have the poor among them. I believe common sense is to help these ones to stand on their feet.

Didnt you read in your bible that jesus fed the multitude ! Dont you know hunger and idleness makes people commit sin. Dont you know if a sinner repented and goes hungry or idle, there is every tendency he will commit another sin.
