Hello,
I am trying to venture into agriculture. a friend told me its too late to plant anything this year.
i however was told by a farmer, that cassava can still be planted.
But i feel the man can be mistaken. I feel rain may have stopped. and cassava may not do pretty well if plated in November
Please Advice...

Its late, time has pass.
Its normally August - October you do it. But if the last rain hasn't fallen in your side, you can do it.

So people still wait on rain to farm in this century.

@opensoftware if your intending farm land can allow you to get a borehole drilled at an affordable cost, why not go for irrigation.

@op you can plant you can still plant cassava now.

If you are sure you can have the land for up to 5 years you can put a borehole. It will be worth it at the end.

If you are hoping on the rains, I must say that it is already late; but if you have alternative source of water supply, then carry go! After all, cassava plant does not need much water.

I contacted a farmer. he told me it can be planted. I planted mine last week Saturday.
