My frnd has this issue with her hair. She is always asked to relax her hair by stylists everytime she wants to have a hairdo. Evn after that, her hair is always rough and thick after two weeks of relaxing her hair making her to do her hair almost 2-3 . Please any hair cream or remedy at all for hair.

Too much relaxing will spoil her hair.

Her hair is rough and thick because it has a fasr growth rate hence it has 'undergrowths' which the hair dressers want her to 'relax'.

There are two types of relaxers: lye relaxers (which is tough on the scalp and gentle on the ends of the hair) and non-lye relaxers (which is soft on the scalp and tough on the ends of the hair).

The lye relaxers burns your scalp and leaves the ends soft aka relaxed while the non-lye doesn't burn your scalp however, the ends will be hard like sponge.

She can rotate both types of relaxers every quarter or at least every 2 months.

Now to her hair itself: she needs to make her hair naturally soft and unfortunately, the hair dressers don't want to deal with 'thick' hair; it wastes time and money is going.

I used to have very thick sponge like hair and relaxers never worked. I decided to go natural (fire) and actually learnt to care for my hair and make it softer. Stuffs I did include:

1. Greenhouse effect: after washing my hair, I dry a little with towel and added extra virgin olive oil. Then I cover my hair with shower cap overnight and style as desired the next morning (without washing the hair). Do this as often as possible. I also do this anytime the hair feels dry.

2. Moisturize: very important: after washing my hair, I add liquid (either not drying my hair fully or rosewater), oil (extra virgin olive oil and/or extra virgin coconut oil), cream (any moisturizing cream e.g. cantu, Emily millionaire, damatol, virgin hair etc.) and ori to seal all the previous stuffs you have added to the hair. She should not add everything at once, it defeats the purpose.

3. She should mix olive oil and/or coconut oil with water in a spray bottle and spray on her hair (her own hair or whatever she has on it ) everyday.

4. When going to the saloon, have the mixture in point 3 handy and spray whenever the hair is dry. She can also do point 1 the night before so the hair is soft.

Goodluck.

P.S.: she should also avoid applying heat to her hair or I'd she must, use heat defence (e.g. coconut oil, Shea Butter etc.)
