That's the only thing ambode is good at; building statues and taxing lagosians to death. Look at mushin road, very bad. So are other roads in Lagos. I wish we'll have another fashola.

This is better unlike one fat alabosun in the east.

Ambode is working. But he should also consider the plights of the 'ordinary' Lagos residents whenever he is doing extensive works.

Going through Oshodi has been hell in recent times.

No gain without pain fah. You cant sweep the market place without ur broom hitting legs. He shud jst ensure no delay in completion

Epe is a very foolish place to live.. All things there are expensive.. Even epe where we have great fishermen.. Fish here is more expensive

What is the function of the fish..?? To me Nigerians no need all these, that fish statue could have empowered 5 young guys with 2m each. If this is done as lottery ones a year...God will easily pick somebody call and live will change.

Seems to me that statue mounting is now the trend among these hopeless governors in a way to squander money meant for more important development projects..okay oo, ride on afterall y'all big bellies are the ones sitting on top of the whole cash

the error i see in this write up is LOTTERY. Really? Why are the youths of this country engrossed in getting hand-outs? When you dont focus on the important things you will come up with irrational statements like this.

Do you know that there is LETF where you can get loan to start a business.

Do you know that erection of these statues will generate revenue for the state in years to come through TOURISM?

Do you know that this edifice has empowered more than 5 people?

Be logical when bringing arguements.

Even the devil will raise his hands for the kind of bigotry some of you display here.

The guy never mentioned Imo or Rochas. He did not say what Rochas is doing is good. He may be anti Rochas. He may not even be Igbo. In fact, he may even be a Yoruba or are you saying that all yorubas approve of the statue?

Instead of you to address him and tell him why the statue makes sense, you have gone tribal immediately displaying unnecessary acute bigotry.

Funny coming from lagos state

Sanchez01 , please permit me to use your words, line by line cool

The fish statue is symbolic to the Epe people who are primarily fish traders and fishermen. It is one thing putting up a symbolic statue that represents a people and another putting up that of a man with no importance or value to your people, their history or the economy.

Well lottery, I dont even know the meaning of lottery. However, I mean lucky drop balls. Luck is part of life and should be considered in everyday life. Who did you say the fish empowerd, if not the friends of the governors. You really think to get a loan in Nigeria is cheap. Nigerian banks gives you loan with almost 50% interest is that one a loan? I know a lot of people who just need to boost there biz but no access to cash. Since, I was born decades ago, I have seen a lot of statue but I have never seen a single tourist it attracted, that is simply waste of money. In Owerri, only imolites are the ones looking at Jacob zuma statue. Every other person sees it on phone and are ok with it. Zuma is even better since he is still living and commanding a whole RSA. Watin fish wan do for Oshodi people? If lotto is not acceptable, just build small power plant for oshodi and give them 24hrs electricity.

Status of this nature is cool and indeed makes Lagos very attractive.

However, Ambode should call all market sellers associations in the state to a meeting to see how to crash road-side/street trading. He should see how to get these guys affordable stores for sales.

Road side selling or street selling should be proscribed already, and when this is done the roads will be less stressed with marketing activities and this will automatically reduce unnecessary vehicular traffic jam.

You need to see OSHODI and IKOTUN at night or even during the day, market women everywhere on the road hindering free movement of vehicles.

Finally, all transporters within the state should have well built bustops far from the major roads. Ambo is doing his best but really needs professional strategist just like those that worked with Fashola.
