giftq:When a Benin man becomes governor of Anambra state, simply because Onitsha was founded by a Benin prince, then Aribisala's dream would come true. |

laudate:LMAO ok, go to Onitsha right now and start speaking Bini language to the traders. Come back and tell us the outcome ![]() |

zenmaster:You still don't get it do you? Isn't Yoruba spoken everywhere in Lagos? Yet you keep claiming it is a no man's land. So it doesn't matter what language is spoken in Onitsha. It remains part of Benin territory, because it was founded by a Bini prince. Get that into your skull. |

zenmaster:They speak it to themselves and not to other ethnic groups in Lagos. Yoruba is far more widely spoken in every corner of Lagos, than Igbo. |

zenmaster:The Yoruba people already gave you a warning, just like the Arewa youths did, several months ago. How come they did not mention other ethnic groups but your own? Is it because they recognise you as trouble makers? |

zenmaster:And when they were deported from Lagos, why were they crying to be allowed back in? Arewa youths withdrew the notice after your people had begged, cried and complained that they should be allowed to stay in the North. Have you forgotten?? |

I as a Yoruba man appreciate the op for having the courage to speak on such a controversial issue. thank God for ambode who has been working tirelessly to restore the Yoruba identity of lagos state. normally we shouldn't have to stress that lagos belongs to the yorubas but it's now imperative that we continue shouting at the rooftops and initiating policies to reclaim what we might have lost just as ambode is doing. we have been challenged in our own backyards and we are now awake. those who call our land no man's land should not be suprised when we actively seek to correct such notion |

Leez:Yes, the same way Anioma people in the old Midwestern region benefitted from Awo's free education, when their homeland was still part of the old Western region. It is IBO or Eboe. Take your pick. |
