And this is for Fayemi and his ministry. Spend whatever is necessary and available to spend to make your ministry viable. The same critics are the ones who will claim 4yrs later that you did not do anything to turn around the fortunes of the ministry. Don't listen to irrelevant and distracting noise. You are the one in charge, as such you will be blamed for failure, and not those criticising you. It is the duty of a layman to criticise like an illiterate that he is. It is the duty of the insider to make things work even when those required actions will be criticised by the mob that are never imbued with any objectivity. The same people who go out to places where things work, will come back to castigate and lament that things are not working in Nigeria. Yet they are never ready to pay the price required for things to work. If government releases the budget to maintain the airports, they complain. But when they transit through the airport, they also complain about the failure of government in Nigeria and how airports are managed by other governments. They have no idea what was expended to provide that comfortable and wonderful airport where things are done so efficiently. Attempt to sack inefficient staff and watch same Nigerians complain that the government is wicked. Fayemi, do your best and disregard noise for what it is. 2 Likes 1 Share |

No Throwback: You are just running your mouth....that there is free oil money does not mean that we should be wasteful. A simple tender and bidding process for this website development would have gotten it done at a lower rate. I have seen advanced company website development projects online, and I have never seen it reach 50 million naira. That said, if there was no free oil money to be wasted, Would the ministry had spent 700 million naira on just a website design? 11 Likes |

Nbote: Dude, Fayemi and his ministry made a mistake. They should have let things be as they met it. They shouldn't have bothered with a budget that went beyond just paying salaries of redundant ministry civil servants. You want growth but castigate money expended to modernise an income generating ministry? Nobody will beg Union bank to spend the money they refused to spend when the likes of Zenith and GTB were investing in ICT. It is Union bank that will perish or wake up after the party has ended like they have now. As for the aimless board members who had no vision when the likes of GTB and Zenith were "wasting money on ICT", what is the value of their Union bank shares now? 1 Like 1 Share |

Nbote: I afforded you something deeper, yet free, but a simple man just wants his wooden chair rather than a forest of mahogany. So let me stoop to your level of comprehension and give you something simple that was already in the news report you refused to see. The portal was designed for mining investors to perform business processes such as online mining licences and mineral titles applications, online payment of royalties and fees, database for revenue drive and to block revenue leakages. Guess what? I just received an email from Accenture, notifying me of some task for which my response has become due. I wonder how many millions of Dollars my firm pay them to manage just some aspects of our database and ICT resource? I reckon we could have found a cheaper alternative from Bayo for just a couple of millions in Naira? My firm must be very wasteful. 2 Likes 1 Share |

seunowa: ahhh... the other members of the 'circle jerk' club are coming out to play... on NNPC, read what I wrote to your other partner in crime, if you are too dense to process it, too bad... but the highlights are; 1. at which FEC meeting was the contract approved? 2. if pmb gave executive approval, when & where are the documents to back it up? on the website, you are obviously the dunce here. have you gone to check out the website? a 700m website that contains truncated links? links to nowhere... a 700m website that doesn't even have a special domain name to justify its cost... stop trying to defend nonsense... it gives Nigerians a bad rep... 6 Likes |

Priorities are so for a reason and getting it right is what determines and shows clarity and a clear cut path. Nbote: Dude are you now saying the website will not solve those issues highlighted from the news report? Or was that not you enquiry - to know what issues the portal will solve? Or those issues are not significant enough? To improve the service rendered to the investors in that industry and to improve means of income generation and accountability. Those issues are irrelevant? 1 Like 1 Share |
