wizkid is not a legend. he has not gotten to that stage. in nigeria , time is the only factor to consider when people want to bestow legend status on you. but time is far from it. it has a lot more. p-square are legends! these are people that started when music was nothing. tiwa savage is not a legend. olamide is not a legend!

The question did not say list 'old school' Nigerian music legends, rather it says 'contemporary (modern)' Nigerian music legends.
There is big difference btw both. People like Onyeka onwendu, fela, sunny ade e.t.c are not contemporary Nigerian musicians.

Being a legend is not determined by "how long". Some people are lucky enough to achieve within a year what others couldnt achieve in a lifetime. Wizkid has done far more than Psquare even though they are senior colleagues. I am not a fan of Wizkid but the truth is what it is.

As far as the contemporary Nigerian music industry is concerned, personally, I would mention only 2face, Dbanj, Psquare ,Davido , Olamide (yes) and Wizkid as Legends in the Industry.The rest are towing the path to achieve this great status and in few years’ time and with consistency, most of the remaining A list Nigerian artists will be considered Legends for their contribution to the music industry.
