I want to buy some items on Amazon. I need some explanations on how amazon gift card works or other means of payment on Amazon pls

An Amazon gift card is like a voucher, that gives you a certain amount off the purchase price of that product.

For example, if a laptop is sold at N40,000, and you have a gift card of N10,000, it means you will end up paying N30,000 for that product.

Apparently, you must have been given the gift card by a third party ( a friend, an organization, a raffle, etc), and should come in the form of a code which you will enter at checkout to redeem its value.

@Okeke Christian had just explained in simple terms how Amazon gift card works. But in addition you can also buy the gift card yourself, keep it or redeem the card into your amazon account for a later use.
