Young Chelsea product Ola Aina was named the Most Outstanding Young Talent at the inaugural Team Nigeria UK Awards staged at Stratford-upon-Avon Town Hall on November 10.
The 21-year-old is away on international duty with the Nigerian national team, so was not physically present to receive the award.

Aina has stood above young talented Nigerians since the start of the season, a form that earned him his first cap for the Super Eagles, and has started and lasted the distance in fifteen of Hull City's sixteen matches in the EFL Championship.

In other categories, Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi scooped the Sporting Hero Award, having etched his name into the Nigerian history books by scoring the winning goal that guaranteed the country's participation at the 2018 World Cup.

Henry Onyekuru was also recognized, with the Everton loanee named the Most Outstanding Emerging Talent.

Jude Ighalo Orphanage won the Humanitarian Award and Ahmed Musa won a prize for his contribution to sports and sports development.

Young man retrace your steps before its too late. Ask your Edo neighbour Gabby Agbonlahor, him go gist you

We don't need him any longer, we should focus on the players that are more than willing to play for Nigeria. That boy just messed with whole country simply because he feels he is indispossable.

I am waiting for the final squad list for England so I can laugh at him properly .

I just pity for him ni. For sure, nothing for him in the England squad. He should have looked at the big picture, with the teaming crop of young players we have he could have easily built a successful career both for club and country. One wrong loan move from chelsea and he is ruined forever. Look at Agbonlahor for instance, if he had played for Nigeria, he would still have at least a thriving club career.
