Members of the Senate have lambasted the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, for withdrawing security details attached to Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Willie Obiano.

The lawmakers took turns to condemn the police boss for claiming that the security men were withdrawn to allow a level playing field for all contestants in the forthcoming governorship election in Anambra State.

The Senate, therefore, asked Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs to ensure that Obiano’s security aides were reinstated by Thursday.

Senate decision was sequel to a point of order raised by Senator Biodun Olujinmi who said the development Portend bad omen for the country 's democracy.
According to her, "the role of IGP in taking over aides of sitting governor is not good for our democracy.
"It means that in 2019 even the Senate President will loose all his security aides."

Am wondering what is actually wrong with this government? Everything about this Buhari government is about evil and devilish characters. Tufiakwa. Withdrawing Obiano's security aides will not guarantee APC victory in the coming election. It is obvious that their (APC) candidate isn't on ground, so all these are strategies to frustrate the governor.
