This is curious. I'd have thought they'd evaluate that positively. At the same time, we've got only one case of positive evaluation for ICAN and several cases of negative evaluation, if I'm correct. I find it difficult to believe it's down to the officer assessing the qualification, as WES should have a standard they abide by.
Surely we need more cases before saying anything further on this.

Truth is if we had enough info as per month of passing exam from goldengem then we can infer that it is the new syllabus. Curiously even if you qualify in 2014 November, you must have written at least 50% of 2011 syllabus. If we have full info from goldengem, maybe other aggrieved people can appeal the decision.

I actually tried to establish that. Unfortunately he has it blotted out in the attachment. Perhaps someone else can provide this information.

Hello All,

I just need your advise on a matter. Ill be going to canada for studies first week in january (my course is for 8 months only). However, i'm thinking is it wise to commence express entry now, i have 1 year 11 months working experience with a small consulting firm, and one of the Big 4.

Should i also go ahead and write IELTS now, to just have it now and probably not need it that to need it and not have it (hope you get my drift).

Lastly, if you were in my shoes, what will you advise.

*i'm still on page 9, have over 400 pages to cover #phew. Hope i also get more insight while reading.

Thanks in advance Bosses

If you can meet the requirements and score enough points to get ITA, I'd say you go for it. In the end, it'll also greatly reduce the cost of your education in Canada. Look at the requirements, write your IELTS and go for it.

Only goldengem can perhaps, if we don't have complete info of that single successful outcome, we'd continue to run in circles

Direct scanning may affect the baby. But the clinic will usually provide a lead apron for protection. It must be said however that this doesn't give a 100% protection to the baby, maybe only 95-98%. But it's your call whether you want to take the risk.[/quote]

My good friend @cochtrane, my people use to say "in the quest for greatness and better life, one will witness alot of mess and embarrassments" Just develop a thick skin, don't loose focus, soldier on and take stuffs in good strides as they come!

Thankie. Wasn't even remotely embarrassing. In her ignorance she said bad and disrespectful stuff about another lady. It was only sensible that one let her know that.

Seconded. And it makes you a more desirable candidate for the job market since there's little ambiguity about your status.

Capital Yes. I even uploaded Statement of Result for my PR application.

You can also eliminate the initial courier cost for your result by faxing the document to WES (Fax: 416-972-9004).

There are a number of free fax service online, but I have used hellofax successfully. See link:
https://www.hellofax.com

Just ensure you add a cover page containing your WES Ref number to the fax.

Best of Luck!

Wow ! Wow ! I guess this only applies to the statement of result while the transcript will still have to be sent by regular courier by the school ?

And this is so dope thanks, you just added a few CAD to my POF.
May twins fall on you . Amen.

How to search the "Canadian Express Entry" thread

Of course, you can relate to the fact that the more information you have regarding the Canadian Express Entry system, the easier it is for you to put together a better application at every stage of the process. One rich source of information is without doubt this Express Entry thread. But searching for information on this thread could be one hard task, especially if you have to scroll through every page.

How can you do this better?
You can use the search bar at the top of the Nairaland page to sieve through information on this thread. If you use this rightly, you should easily find what you are looking for.

To do this, insert keywords regarding what you are looking for in the search bar and click search (attachment 1). Once you do that you will then find more search options. Under "All Sections", choose "Travel". This will show results related to your search item found in the Travel section of Nairaland. You can check "topic" to restrict your search to the first post on a thread, if they contain your search item (not advisable), or you can check "images" to add to your results items with images.

When searching here, use simple search items. For example, "WES ECA" instead of "How do I do ECA with WES", or "POF gift" rather than "I want to use gift deed as POF".

The better search engine to use for searching this thread however is definitely Google. No surprise!

When using google, type in the google search bar "site:nairaland.com" before typing your search item in front of that. For example, if you wanna get details about doing ECA with WES, you could type in "site:nairaland.com ECA WES" (attachment 2).

If you want to limit your google search to results on the "Canadian Express Entry Thread", then use "site:nairaland.com ECA WES Canadian Express Entry". This applies for every other search item. So you do, "site:nairaland.com <search item> Canadian Express Entry".

This google search will show you results from both Part 1 & Part 2 of the Canadian Express Entry Threads. If you want to limit your google search to this particular thread, then click on "Tools" and choose under "Any Time" 19-Aug-2017, which is the date this thread was created. This way, you can limit results under your search.

Final things to note:

1. You need to go painstakingly through each item, if what you are looking for isn't immediately within reach. This helps.

2. Use only few words when searching. Don't type in a sentence. Use keywords only.

3. If you know the username of the Nairalander who made the post, include that in your search item. It'll make you get results faster and narrow down your search.

Nope. Under FSW, only NOCs 0, A or B are allowed.
You could probably find something of the same strain under these NOCs. You might need to look more closely or stretch your brother's duties a bit.

Morning all, I can't keep calm, it's PPR

Special thanks to 40manlappy who has been a pillar of support all through this journey and thank you to everyone on this platform. I used to be very active on this platform few months back, but went off due to personal reason, and I am happy I am finally here with the good news.

My application was far from perfect and I had quite a number of LOEs in my application and I still thank God it was concluded in 20 days. I submitted reference letters ONLY for my work experience, as both businesses do not give payslips and no questions were asked, as the letters had all required information. There were many errors on our marriage certificate, like occupation, date of birth and we addressed them upfront with affidavit and LOE. I did not notarize my gift deed, as I didn't think it was necessary as I had two witnesses who signed it, after submission I started seeing different opinions of people saying it had to be notarized and I just prayed. We also used sale of land as part of our POF and submitted ONLY the agreement of sale with the previous owner and new sale agreement with the new buyer and it was accepted. In all, let us try our best with our applications and don't be scared of anything, do your best, ask for advice and commit it all to God, it will end in praise.
