Happening now in Jimeta Ultra Modern Market, Yola. The market authorities known as Jimeta Martial, and others allegedly sold an empty land in the market, where Muslim faithful always conduct their prayers. They also displaced some makeshift shops around the empty land, leading to protest by some affected shop owners and barrow boys. Tyres are burning, police are shooting teargas and rubber bullets to disperse crowd. This has lead to total lock down of the market. Below are some photos |
