I want to find out if two different roles under same NOC class can be summed up together as years of expereince. I have worked as a LWD Field engineer in an oil servicing firm (for 1 year and 5 months) and i am currently working as a geologist (currently 3 months) in another organization. I wan to sum them up to my make my experience 2yrs as they are both under NOC class A.

Hi Everyone. I have a LSRW score of 7.5,7.5, 6.5, 7.0. 32years. Bsc, 10yrs work Experience.
Husband is uninterested and did not do well in his IELTS. We can't view his result for 11th Nov. I'm certain he did not shade well.
I've applied for WES, transcript is pending with school.
But no matter how best i do in IELTS, i can't get past 425 for CRS.
Husband doesn't have up to 3yrs experience but has an MSc.
He would have given us a 464.
What's the best option at this point?

Whatever his IELTS result is, just take it and add his MSc ECA. By God's grace, your next attempt will be ur last.

Egbami ke!!! I haven't stayed in any country for more than a month in total. Why then am i getting request for multiple PCC?

Santino1:

Your checklist is generated based on the information you input in the form.

For instance, you are getting "multiple" for the PCC placeholder because you have indicated in the form that you have lived in another country for more than six months. Also as a consequence your passport will show multiple because you need to show you had legal permission to be in the said country by way of a visa or just stamps.

As per name issue, yes uploading an affidavit in the appropriate placeholder should suffice.

Multiple is the default for everyone. Even people without travel history get multiple for PCC placeholder.

Hi guys,

So my checklist has been generated and I'm a bit concerned for these areas with "multiple" written in front, is this generic or do I really have to upload my old passport as well and more than one police certificate?

Passports/Travel Documents (Multiple) (required)
Police Certificates (Multiple) (required)

Also, when filling the form, I answered that I also bear my first , middle and last name as it is just my first and last name on my passport, ielts and police report. But my degrees carry all three names. Theres a place holder for "Legal Name Change Doc. (required)". I had planned to upload a one-and-the-same person affidavit with my LOE. Can I upload the affidavit in this placeholder? Is that enough?

thanks guys!
THat's how it appears for Passports/Travel docs & Police Certificates. Almost default. Just upload what you've got. You should upload only current valid passport.
In the "Legal Name Chance Doc.", upload a pdf of the affidavit & the LOE.

Thanks sleekchic, lemme just post the response I gave to someone else who asked a similar question via PM.

"So for IELTS, there really isn't any hard and fast rule to preparing for it. Understanding the tips in answering the questions is almost as important, instead of just practicing with sample test questions.
What you must surely do is engage in a lot of practice tests. Always make sure to time yourself under simulated exam conditions. For example, to practice a writing test, ensure to give yourself 20 mins for task 1 and 40 mins for task 2, but endeavor never to get to the end of the set time, so that you can have time to read through and correct any mistakes, and to ensure that you get used to the timing.
For reading, I used Academic reading texts most of the time, so that i could solve harder questions that could help me in solving the easier General Training reading texts. You need to also time yourself here.Very important to stay within 60 mins timing, with time within to proofread your answers. Try to understand how to answer the different categories of questions especially the T,F,NG type and any other one you find challenging.
For listening, try to practice a lot! I did over 30 listening practice tests. Timing was not so important for me because the audio will move ahead of you anyway, whether you time yourself or not. You have to understand the tricks in the way the messages are conveyed, so that you can easily pick out the answers.
Speaking is easy if you are a natural good conservationist and can use a range of vocabulary and right tenses. I am not a natural speaker. I don't like speaking in public, so I was very nervous on my own test day.
After each test, mark your answers and if you notice you are consistently not doing well in a particular set of questions, ensure you practice answering that type of question till you are comfortable enough. If you don't have a lot of time before your exam, try to do at least one component each (LSRW) everyday and more during the weekend depending on your daily schedule.

See some good sites to help with your practicing if you haven't already stumbled on them.

4. E2 Language

8. https://www.ieltsessentials.com/global/prepare/freepracticetests/academicreadingpracticetests
9. https://www.ielts.org/about-the-test/sample-test-questions

There are a host of them online. Just search and ensure you do a lot of practice! I wish you luck in your coming exams.

PS: I am in no way an expert in IELTS tests, but I just gave you the tips on how I practiced. Immediately I registered for my exam, I even booked thanksgiving service in church for DH & I to hold a day after my test. So if you are a believer in God and grace, you should add prayer.

Wow, Congratulations your results are so attractive. Please what did you use to prepare?

Good morning great people... I've learnt a lot from this forum with regards to Canada EE.. right now I'm at the point of submitting my documents for ITA. for the POF I have usd 19,000.00 ( i has to convert almost all my funds when USD was climbing up during the exchange rate volatility). Can I use the fixed deposit letter for my USD as the POF.. converting it to Canadian dollars is about $24,000.00 which is higher than the requirements for 4 people. Kindly advice
This is the perfect POF. If I were you, I'd not only just submit it the way it is, I would also not trouble myself over a LOE. Attaching an explanation in there is easily over the top.

You don't have to sum them. They look good already. You'd have to enter them separately as different experiences. That way, they sum to 2 years for your express entry profile, and your first job of 1 year 5 months will qualify you under FSW.

Recheck though that they are indeed NOC A jobs.

He/she does not even need to sum up the experiences.I think 1 year will give the same CRS score as 2 year 11 months. He/she can just use the 1 year 5 months work experience alone except if it will help eligibility.

Hello e-fam and friends.

A quick request for a friend. I honestly don't know, that's why I am asking.

He created his EE profile with an hypothetical IELTS reference number "20999229IMM" in August however, as as this time, his ECA hasn't been completed. He put in the place of the ECA date, a date in August.

Now, his ECA came out in October. He has since changed the DATE OF ECA to "October" whilst his EE profile date of creation is "August"

He is thinking of withdrawing this EE profile and re-create another one.

My advice to him is to leave the EE profile as it is just a questionnaire, and has no bearing on his application post-ITA except where he did not meet the eligibility criteria score of 67/100 (that's when there will be an issue)

What do ya think (I'm NOT sure about my advice to him though!)

@coctrane, @gliterringstar, @elfman et al!

It will all end in praise IJN!
