Hello e-fam and friends.

A quick request for a friend. I honestly don't know, that's why I am asking.

He created his EE profile with an hypothetical IELTS reference number "20999229IMM" in August however, as as this time, his ECA hasn't been completed. He put in the place of the ECA date, a date in August.

Now, his ECA came out in October. He has since changed the DATE OF ECA to "October" whilst his EE profile date of creation is "August"

He is thinking of withdrawing this EE profile and re-create another one.

My advice to him is to leave the EE profile as it is just a questionnaire, and has no bearing on his application post-ITA except where he did not meet the eligibility criteria score of 67/100 (that's when there will be an issue)

What do ya think (I'm NOT sure about my advice to him though!)

I'd leave it the way it is, if I were him. As long as he hasn't got ITA, I don't see a problem. Just my opinion.
But if such thing as this should worry him, he may want to keep his wary mind at rest by creating a new profile as long as there isn't ITA on the table so far.

Thanks!

GlitteringStar:

1. Multiple is a generic term used in the document section and doesn't apply to everyone.

2. You are good to go with the "one and same person affidavit" and LOE.

@blessings2017 I really do not know if the additional documents has ever changed at any point throughout this application but it is currently showing "we do not need ...." And the background check is still on "not applicable". Anyways, thanks for d info.
blessings2017:

@ken2sure , kindly check if status of Additional Documents has changed to " We do not need any documents" . I know someone in similar situation. She received that letter 3days ago and review of documents changed to " we do not need any documents" . AOR in Oct 7 .

If yours changes to that, then you're nearer to IP2 and PPR shortly after, in a matter of 2-4weeks according to commenters on canadavisa ( depending on the VO though) .

All the best bro..

Naturalized:

Lol, what you applied for was a TRV, which is, in essence, a visa as a temporary residence. It just so happens you applied under the study classification. The one issued at the POE that states the date of exit, and conditions of employment in Canada as a student is the study permit.

I say this as someone who has gone through the entire studentship process and attended various CIC in-Canada awareness programs for international students.
Actually, @blessings2017 is correct. An applicant applies for a study permit and NOT a temporary resident visa(TRV) hence the usage of the IMM1294 form. However, since a TRV is required for a non visa exempt applicant to enable him/her travel to Canada to obtain the study permit that was approved. it is automatically issued once the Study permit application is approved without a separate application.

A temporary resident visa can be applied for directly eg Visiting, business etc. These categories of Temporary resident visas does not require a permit and hence an applicant will have to apply using the IMM5257 form(application for a temporary visa).

So yes, a study permit fall under a 'PERMIT' even though a TRV is also issued.

Thank you my good friend @cochtrane. I guess you and I share similar position BUT there is a but.

He has locked the EE profile number and job seeker code of that created profile into a recent PNP application he submitted and he's not sure what effect will withdrawing the profile (which he has submitted its number) and re-creating another one, will have on the PNP(which is an express entry linked) application?

Will your advice still be the same? (That's the confusing part for me, I tire for complex issues like this. The guy no let my whatsapp rest grin grin)

I'd leave the profile the way it is. I'm sure some persons here have changed out ECA details (before getting ITA, that is) and had no problems subsequently. It sounds like something that could have happened.

Thanks a lot dear, I'm truly grateful

cochtrane:

1. PCC is issued only at Alagbon in Nigeria. Even if you make a request in Abuja, they've still got to do it at Alagbon and then mail it to you. CIC expects the PCC they get from Nigeria to be of a particular format, so if they get something else or something weird, it'll surely constitute grounds for suspicion. About verification, I'd say it's hard to verify every PCC they get. But VOs know what to look for in documents they see everyday. Just do your own part.

2. CIC actually doesn't specifically require a 6-month bank statement. Adding it is completely at your own discretion and is evidently to shed more favorable light on your financial situation. This means there are no specific requirements for a 6-month bank statement. What you've got is good enough, that is, your fixed deposit certificate. You could add whatever back statement you've got to it and it certainly doesn't matter that it's less than 6 months.

3. For WES, they allow you to send your transcripts directly to them as long as it meets their requirements of being sealed and stamped. It don't matter one bit if you send it from Potiskum. Credential evaluation bodies know what to look for when they receive a transcript. I would think they care much less about who sent the transcripts or from where exactly they come. Even if your school sends the transcripts and it doesn't meet the requirements (maybe the seal is broken?), they won't accept it. I think some people here have sent transcripts by themselves.
For other ECA bodies like IQAS, etc. I think this also follows. You might need to verify this though.

4. Without doubt, your wife can use her teaching experience to claim points. CIC definitely uses more than "Google" in their verification processes. They have access to several Nigerian databases, including information from previous applicants with similar histories. If they aren't too certain, they'll reach out to the contacts on her work reference letter. That's why they require that this carries phone numbers, email ad and person responsible.
They've got a whole lot of choices in verifying her employment history. That the school is not known should definitely not matter. They look for consistency; it's their job, it's what they are trained to do. They'd only entertain suspicion only if the stories don't stand the test of scrutiny (if they scrutinize).

Update
I received my GCMS notes this morning (all 181 pages) all I gathered was that security hasn't been done.

When I checked my profile a few days ago, I'm now in IP2.

Fingers crossed.

You don't have to sum them. They look good already. You'd have to enter them separately as different experiences. That way, they sum to 2 years for your express entry profile, and your first job of 1 year 5 months will qualify you under FSW.

Recheck though that they are indeed NOC A jobs.
What of one with say 1year & 5months but with NOC C Job?

As Newmum0615 said, God go with you, also try watching ielts speaking with Jay on YouTube, he teaches the PpF method, hopefully that would help you.
Also be calm and try to extend your answers . God be with you, don’t forget to practice well.
