Most of the officers of the Nigerian Army then were Igbo, providing excellent canon fodder for propagandists like you. But at the end of the day, the coup was a pro Awo coup and not an Igbo coup.

Mnagagwa was a willing and active participant in the coup. He, Mugabe and Chiwenga had always been allies in the repression of the opposition in Zimbabwe for years and to underscore this, not only was no blood shed, Mugabe was given full immunity meaning na still mmamadu things.

What was the relationship between Awo and Ifeajuna(Zik's cousin)? Do you have any evidence to show Awo and Ifeajuna, Nzeogwu etc were collaborators in a coup that cost so many people their lives just for Awo to become prime minister?

These folks are so mischevious, it's unbelievable. Very soon, they will start telling us that the january coupists were in collaboration with Awo whilst he was incarcerated in calabar prison.

It's also instructive to note that for the brief period Nzegeow held sway in the north and was threatening to march down south and displace Ironsi, he did not at any time mention anything about Awo or the fact that they aim to release him from jail and make him the next Prime minister.
