A photo of a Catholic priest celebrating the Kingship of Christ in consonance with the Igbo cultural heritage - has sparked heated debated online after the picture emerged. In the picture, the Priest has the monstrance lifted up above for veneration, and by the sides of the van are two men who have a pot of calabash filled with burning charcoal and frankincense which signifies the passage of Kings. The white chalk or “nzu” were also drawn on the chests of the traditional men.

While some are celebrating the Catholic priest for the unusual way of worship, others have blasted the priest - saying "light and darkness" have nothing in common. See reactions below;

The priest was well covered with umbrella while the monstrance which represent Christ was left in d sun. As for d burning charcoal and nzu men, well only God knows d real intent behind that. But in my life, Christ is the king!

Sometimes it crosses my mind that we Africans abandon our way of life for another.

Even Arabs had their traditional way of life before Islam came and they followed islam.

That's conjoining traditional worship and Christian worship, which is repulsive and absurd. Christ the king is best celebrated on foot if you ask me. Catholics frown at indescent dressing and those guys were guilty of that. This
