There is no way he ciuld have looted 900 milliin dollars then
How.much is the total money of the Federal Government when only one person will loot $900m. Soften the exaggeration.

I agree with These SS states are cursed with horrible leaders

The SS needs visionary leaders

The breakdown shows that Lagos was indebted to the tune of N603.25 billion, Delta owes N331.95 billion,

https://guardian.ng/news/lagos-osun-delta-akwa-ibom-lead-states-n3-4tr-debt-profile/
After Lagos state with 20 million people, Delta state with just 5 million people is the 2nd most indebted state in Nigeria with absolutely nothing to show for that massive debt.

To make matters worse, Lagos state is the 2nd largest civil service employer in Niger after the FG and their wage bill is N6 billion/month, but guess what, Delta state's wage bill is also N6 billion/month. Obviously, every man, woman and even children in Delta states are working for the state government and collecting salaries.

Obviously, they are paying thousands of ghost workers and state officials from the Governor all the way down are pocketing billions every month. Looting is done in a million and one ways in Nigeria.

Looks like we have more of our money outside the country than we have within the country....

I'm sure the looted funds we have in different countries can take care of our 2018 budget..
No need to sell our National assets to fund the budget.
The money should never be returned to Bayelsa or the Fed government.
Just use themoney to build a few Power stations and l will be happy if the people of bayelsa have uninterupted Power supply, lik ethe people of the U.K.

Otherwise, Seriake Dickson is already planning which other country (like Dubai), he will "return" the money to!

Maybe it's N 900 and not dollars, cos as @ 2005 its not possible 4 any governor in Nigeria to loot that kinda money

Hedonistically:
Let's be empirical. What was Bayelsa's total monthly allocation, 13% derivation, and IGR during the 6 years that Alamco held sway as governor?
I'm talking de facto - how it is and not de jure - how it's meant to be. oya, my dad was a commisoner den, himsef nd d serving senator, lokpobiri. nd I knew hw much pop c saw. t.o was jst ordinary transport officer of govt house,Not d whole state o, and two years into d administration, he was celebrating 1billion naira cash. we stayed at d extreme of govt house, Nd u nid to c wat t.o does wit money. so believe me u, back den, nd even now a billion dolz is notn to steal in 4years let alone 6years 4 a gov in an oil rich state like bayelsa

We are waiting for Buhari to list three achievements that were initiated and completed by him. Men, i've been going out a lot these days unlike previously, the for sale signs on cars is alarming. People are depressed.
Three is too much oo, let them list just one and shame us.. Nigeria has never been this uncertain for its citizens ..

oikirodah:
Facts have emerged that United Kingdom Government is planning to return $900 million allegedly looted by late former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, to the state.
In September 2005, Alamieyeseigha was arrested and tried in the UK for money laundering.
He jumped bail and fled to Nigeria.
However, a source close to the ongoing arrangement informed our correspondent that the UK Government has almost concluded arrangements with the Bayelsa State Government to return $900 million allegedly looted by late Alamieyeseigha to the coffers of the state.
According to him: “There is mobilization ongoing in Bayelsa State as I am speaking to you to take delivery of the looted fund by the late governor of the state.”

some times, the kind of money that is said to have been looted is just not reasonable. Does Nigeria as a country has such money, talk more of being looted by a governor?

grin grin... Sooooooo true. Maybe a safer country for safe keeping.
That money will really go a long way in fixing the power issue in the country only if the UK government will oversee the project themselves
