Very SOON eehhn, Lagos and Ogun states will be playing 1-2 and competing fiercely.
Infact Ogun needs a huge cargo port ASAP with the rate things are soaring.

This is an insult really

How can we develop with such small revenues ??

A state of 2 million people and you can't tax them 5k for development averagely in a month !!!!

How the can you improve a state with such revenue

I feel they underdeclear internal generated revenue just to loot them easily because only keke drivers and market sellers pay far more than this
How many of the 2 million are employed? How many of those employed out of the 2 million can spare 5k monthly? How many voluntarily pay?

sure ...like ekiti idp camp
Ekiti is much better with 1.3b than your Imo with 1.6b in terms of GDP. Imo population is much more than Ekiti, hence Imo state fits your description of an ID camp state. Granted the fact that Imo is an oil state,it is more pathetic for the Rocha's state than Ekiti.Undoubtly, Ekiti state is the poorest state in the SW with one of the least federal allocations in the country, however, your tribemen and women litter the whole state.Keep focusing on SW region while yours is becoming desolate due to poor policies and corruption.

Lagos and Ogun are doing "relatively" well. Oyo should do better than the mere 5.7b, Ogun has completely taken over the number 2 spot from them in the west.
Ondo doing a 2.7b while Osun is doing 2.4 is a slap on the political leadership of Ondo. Kwara too should buckle up. As for Ekiti, they are our baby (last born) but fayose is not doing enough.

Thumbs up to Osun state, their IGR is increasing.

they can't release figures cos it's either too low or they want to embezzle it!!!

if Lagos or any south west state refuses to release figures our angry fellow Nigerians will accuse tinubu of stealing the money.

they prefer to monitor the southwest and watch their states remain backward!!!
That is the moronic hypocrisy we are talking about.
Their attention is always on the great SW.

Osun state should use the IGR to pay it's dying pensioners and outstanding salaries grin
Have Imo, Abia,Enugu,Ebonyi, Delta,Bayesa etc paid their backlog of their salaries? Ipobs, remove the logs in the eyes of your region before you remove the specks in the SW region's eyes. Do us a favour by showing the IGR of your foremost state, Anambra.Removing Lagos and Ogun states from SW, we still beat your region "arms down". We use statistics to back up our claims, not Aba- made assumptions. Millions of your people are still waiting this morning in the motor parks in various SE states to head for greener pastures of SW states.

When you go to Agbara,Ota and along Lagos-Ibadan expressway axis of Ogun state you see Big time industries, Newspaper houses. Together with the highest number of Higher institutions in Nigeria then you understand why Ogun state is going higher.

Don't derail the topic, give us the statistical backup of your hardwork via IGR. Besides, how man non-indegenes do you allow to thrive in your hostile, crime-infested, erosion-ravaged region of yours? Hostility drives investors away from your region, while tolerance and accommodation herald prosperity to the SW.US is a nation amorphous people, its greatness. We will continue to be tolerant untill your region is made desolate and uninhabitable by enticing all your productive people to our region. All your well-to-do people have their investments in SW and more are still coming. We USA of Nigeria. It is just a strategic policy to depopulate SE by having your best brains in SW, while the block-headed, never-do-well ones are left in your cursed land.

Anambra as usual are stragglers. Didn't publish figures last year. Hope they won't repeat the trick this year so Obiano's debate boasts about significantly raising state revenue can be put to the test. Ebonyi is even worse. Not published figures since 2014.

I'm still curious to know by what magic Cross River intends to raise the funds for their N1.3 trillion 2018 budget when even Lagos have never budgeted close to such a figure. Their governor must be a comedian.

That can only happen in a country where Nepotism Fraud, Oppression n stupidity rules supreme.

The day each state in Nigeria controls it's resources, then we will get the chance to compare IGRs.
