The reason is that the electoral umpires did not even bring materials to some polling units. In my local government, people went out to vote in different polling units, but nobody showed up to conduct election. People waited till evening and returned to their houses after getting tired of waiting only to hear from radio that PDP has won everywhere. Things like this isn't new to us because as Nigerians, it is not in our nature to do things right. But where exactly is this country heading to?

PDP Sweeps A'Ibom Council Polls

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has swept all 31 Local Government Areas as the Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission, AKISIEC, releases a Press Statement affirming results earlier declared by the authorized Returning Officers in various locations. PDP Councillorship candidates also win all 329 wards. Jubilation breaks out as AKISIEC directs winners to report and receive their Certificates of Return on Monday, December, 4th.
