most of you just talk without thinking. Maybe it's lack of adequate wisdom. If you're told to give a single reason why glo shouldn't be there. You would give a porous answer. People like u would want other countries to help develop the economy but won't support your own. If glo buys 9mobile, they will have access to thr faster servers which will enable them offer a faster speed internet with the same low price. Aren't we gonna be the benefactors? And by then, other networks will drop price of data which will make Nigerians spend less on data.
So sir, why should glo not be there?

If 9mobile sells to glo I will switch to MTN that same day! Globacom should NEVER be an option!!

Since MTN did not make the cut i see GLO as the potential owners of 9mobile asset.
Imagine glo(Data Volume) + 9mobile(speed) = BEAST MODE!! cool

Glo subscribers will smile again
cheesy cheesy

You apparently have not stopped to ask yourself why folks largely deprecate Glo though it parades cheap data prices. May I suggest to you that it is because Glo does not deliver due to its Down Syndrome corporate and business culture! Cell sites et al get shut down and network become slow simply because until The Bull signs the check nothing go happen!!

in my own view Glo has the strategy to maintain and improve 9mobile

because even with their bad network Nigerians are still glued to them
so Glo is the best of them

GLO should acquire 9mobile. It ll help their coverage issues

GLO issues are not about coverage as they are about their Down Syndrome corporate and business culture. Until The Bull signs the check nothing happens and cell-sites then get shut down or under-perform for lack of maintenance

Not quite so. The faster 9mobile servers will suffer at the hands of GLO simply of GLO Down Syndrome corporate and business culture. Until The Bull signs the check nothing happens and the servers and cell-sites begin to under-perform or get shut down resulting in poor QOS! That’s it!!! My oga at the top!! Wished you start your post with a remark complementary.

The Down syndrome corporate and business culture of GLO is certain to corrupt the 9mobile Brand even where they compete as different brands.

I no understand u o. Down syndrome? Compete? Different brand?

Boye Onasanya + Mike Adenuga. Omoluabi connection.
Glo already won the bid.
#gbam.

That’s not how Barclays the financial advisor will pick who wins the bid. It’s about who can pay off the debts 9mobile owes in a manner that will ensure the Brand is not bashed and the company not sunk!

1. Down Syndrome = slowpoke.
GLO business model slows down its services because owner signs the checks. Issues in need of prompt financial intervention must await the signature of the owner which can be slow in coming. That in turn affects the network when, for example, servers and cell sites are not maintained promptly.
2. Compete/ different brand. GLO could if it wins run GLO and 9mobile as separate business entities/ brands to compete against themselves. That’s what I meant.

Yes oooo..... Glo all the way. I so much love glo, that Ive refused to port the network. Their internet speed for my area (Onitsha) na bomb. My only problem is that they don't have app subscriptions, like whatsapp bundle, Facebook or opera mini bundle like their airtel colleague, which is the only reason why I'm on airtel.

Etisalat/9mobile is my best network in Nigeria and among all, I hate Glo so much due to their poor network and deceitful lifestyle. If Glo happens to buy the said 9mobile, then I'm breaking the fuccking Etisalat sim and throwing it away. I got no time for shi!t!

I wonder why no one is talking about Teleology Holdings Limited. I see it as the dark horse in this race.

Teleology is a special purpose vehicle led by a former chief executive of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Adrian Wood, and Ericsson; Africa Capital Alliance (ACA), a leading pan-African investment firm based in Lagos; and The Carlyle Group, a U.S.-based multinational private equity, alternative asset management and financial services corporation.

Note that Africa Capital Alliance was co-founded by the present Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okey Enelamah who was the former CEO. ACA Partners include Chief Ernest Shonekan (founder), Pascal Dozie (founder), Dick Kramer (founder and chairman), Cyril Odu (CEO), Afolabi Oladele, Sam Oniovosa, Paul Kokoricha and Kofi Kwakwa.

After intentionally using their yeye network to dismantle/rubbish Nigeria's value system, now they want out.

Was it not after that guy won 100,000,000 dollars in their senseless show that most TV shows that promoted our culture and value system died out and BBAfrica and suchlike gained grounds in Nigeria?

Love, respect, patience, sincerity, trust, diligence, positive-creativity, etc. have all been blown away in our national life, and Love for Money, some money, and more money has taken over.

I wonder what next "THEY" have up their sleeves!!

#God Bless Nigeria.

They should give it to Smile. GLO will kill that network if they take over.

Airtel will use their criminal ways of doing things and ruin the company.

Vultures swirling over a dying organism.

Instead of the bidders to fix their useless networks they're busy looking to cannibalize carrion.
