You can't beat Buhari in the north, no matter how bad he performs, people in the north don't vote on principles but on sentiments, but the reason I know PDP is not ready is that they still excluding some sets, APC took over power by claiming all blocs possible, except the ones who can't be claimed. It is a standard practice in PDP to have Reconcilliation Committee after every Congress and Convention

most times, it's not really about the numbers but the influence, ideas will spring from the west, they feed it to the media, others swallow it.
bubu was whitewashed by the west, even though the numbers were insignificant at the end, he was able to get 25% in east and south, a feat that gave him power.
They have started with Atiku also, however God forbid we have a gej/pmb type of aspirants in 2019.
