Not necessarily. There are very few coaches around that truly can be described as Genuises. Even then I'll divide them into 2 categories namely "Attacking Minded" and "Defensive Minded". The likes of Mou and Simeone fall into the latter whilst Pep stands pretty much alone in the former.

And you have to back it up with performances on the pitch and trophies.

He saw a player that he felt was absolutely necessary to his plans but let the club sell said player to a rival yet before said player was sold, Conte was already lining up 2 players who play in said player's position.

Is it possible to check and see that Conte must have praised Costa even after Jan of 2017 only to sell him in August?
