Many of us have wonderful aspirations in life, but many aspirations are constrained by financial capacities, environment and all. Let me start by sharing mine. I did an analysis of what it would take to buy a home and based on my earnings and the duration, I did a projection. On contacting a mortgage house, the interest rates were staggering. I would expect that being a long term loan, interest rates should be slightly higher than a T-bill but when I got feedback, the least I could find was 22% pa. That's crazy to say the least.. You really don't understand the impact of when things are not working in this country till you want to get something done... Now the only option left is to save, invest and hope to buy or build if possible and hope that house prices don't catch up with inflation when you are ready but, really when you compare any investment with the historical inflation rate, there is very little real return on your investment even the so-called aggressive funds are just slightly above inflation with highea risk. Over to you guys... What's your biggest financial worry
