Believe it or not, nigeria is in the middle of a crisis. Most people are not seeing it right now, prolly because it's not that obvious, not as pronounced as buhari's incompetence.

People are leaving nigeria, fast. It has been widely known that the wealth and sizeof the middle class determines the buoyancy and viability of an economy. What happens when there's no middle class? Right now, there's crisis in all sectors: Healthcare, transport, education, power, everywhere!


Some days ago, I came across a tweet where someone who went for ielts test saw almost 20 doctors there. Many more are trying to leave and they would be successful, why won't they? When other countries are trying to get better. The cream of the crop are leaving (or trying to).
Two years ago, I and my family migrated from nigeria (legally), that's the best decision we've ever made. Last month, my extended family and in-laws joined us. Believe it or not, there is a mass migration from nigeria. The middle class is thinning down; very soon, the only people left in nigeria would be those too rich to leave (assets) or too poor to afford to leave. What happens then?


Fix your country before it's too late. Start from electricity, every other thing would fall in line.

People would strive for a better life anywhere. However once we have a leadership in nigeria that inspires hope, they would come back. Everyone wants to be in a ship that's making progress. Right now it's bleak. Look at the news. We are not talking 24/7 electricity rather you see tribal matters, statues and other useless news.

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria; instead of us to stay and fight to rescue the motherland, we are busy rushing to foreign lands.

Nigerians do not want to make the sacrifices necessary for development.

To develop this country, Nigerians must pay taxes. Progressive taxes where the rich pay a much higher amount than the middle class

To develop this country, a lot of MDA'S will have to be closed down leading to job losses. Why should people pay taxes to fund salaries for workers who do nothing.

To develop this country, merit will have to become the main criteria for advancement. No more my brother, no more equal number of people from all states, no more she is the daughter of a big man.

To develop this country, the emphasis on development must be on the poor. When the poor are wealthy and educated enough, Nigeria's birth rate would naturally decline. Electricity would no longer be an issue because customers would be able to afford payment and quality labour would be cheap. Again the wealthier masses would serve as a primary market for finished goods produced within the country.

To develop, Nigerians would have to develop a common dream, a common goal that would make Nigerians of all religions and tribes to unite.

If you personally dislike any of the above proposals, know that majority of Nigerians share your views. If there is no massive change in our beliefs and values system, I can assure you that 20 years from now, Nigeria would be worse. 50 years from now, Nigeria would be worse than 20 from now and 100 years from now, the pattern of Nigeria getting worse would certainly continue.

What makes countries prosperous are sound economic policies.

Even you like, let your people be the most hardworking in the world, it will not change water into stone.

Let your people be the most patriotic in the word, your country can still remain dirt poor.

Introduce sound economic policies and see your economy take off.

The middle class have the right to take off. It is the government bad economic policies that brought about a totally needless recession. Sanusi Lamido condemned in no small measure Buhari's foreign exchange controls.

Policies that discourage investment will pauperise the citizenry such as PMB's forex controls no matter how hardworking they are.

There's no emergency. This is a country which during the boom years still had a large unemployed and under employed pool of people. How much more now when the yearly economic growth can not produce enough jobs for those entering the labour force yearly?
