This is pathetic. When we spoke out against SARS, it wasn't because we were criminals or have skeletons in our cupboards. It was because we wanted to stop senseless waste of lives like this. We can only imagine what that family is going through. May God console them and bring to quick justice those who murdered him in cold blood.

What I don't understand about this SARS is that they kill innocent people all in the name of cultism, armed robbery and what have you but the fact remains that SARS themselves belong to secret cults and they forcefully obtain people. According twitter user, his brother was killed early in the morning simply because he failed to stop on time, read his post below;

We spoke till 12am this morning. He left for early morning hustle with his bike by 5am. He was stopped by @PoliceNG but it was late, he didn't see them on time. The police man hit him with his batten and he lost control of his bike. Fell into a gutter and died.
He is my brother.

God bless you. People don't really seem to realise the reality of the current economic situation. Families are starving, millions of youths are desperate for money. This desperation leads people to armed robbery and other crimes to survive, which is what led to the creation of these specially trained units to begin with. The truth is that 'regular' policemen can't withstand an onslaught from hardened criminals that are ready to die. These SARS and other tactical assault teams are trained in urban warfare so they can protect our lives. Unfortunately their training and type of job tends to make them power drunk and distorts their sense of morality. Instead of champing at the bits for SARS to be disbanded we should be clamoring for greater accountability for their actions. Some Nos and emails are being circulated on social media for people to report any undue harassment. If the police authorities and the heads of other paramilitary bodies can be made to account for the actions of their personnel, then their operatives will thread lightly. The problem with this country is a misguided approach to issues, something comes up and we seek ridiculous solutions. People can't get fuel and the next thing is to start agitating for a change of government. The last time this happened, did a change in government solve the issue? undecided

Son I know you are angry and outraged by the cruelties meted out to harpless and innocent members of the public by men and officers of the Nigerian police especially the SARS unit,but seriously can you do any of the things you listed above ??

I feel for the family. What SARS has turned into is just what the international human right should come in. They have turned into official armed robbers.Arresting and killing people without remorse.
It is better for people to start giving them poison whenever they request for drink.

Honestly, it's getting out of hand.

Loosing control of yourself and taking laws into your hands makes it even more insane... Jungle justice is never the solution else criminality would have been in our history books now.. Sadly it is still an integral part of us. We already have too much of it (jungle justice) to deal with.
