I have been reading different threads since innoson and gtbank issue. Seeing some people turning it into tribal issue. Some have even started the hashtag #boycottgtbank because of issue between two clients. But seeing some igbo peeps shouting that all igbos should boycott gtbank, isn't that emotional. Thinking if you decided to boycott, Gtb will lose and fold up. This is laughable. The last time I checked, gtbank not only has branches in Nigeria but in West African countries like Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya as well as United Kingdom in Europe. So how will gtbank lose. If yorubas decided to boycott innoson because of emotions also boycott other goods you sell for people. Now, yorubas too are selling wears now, so what if yorubas decided to start buying from Yorubas instead of igbosthey use to buy from before. You will be the first person to shout. Think and think. Don't spoil innoson business with your hatred towards others, innoson is not tribalist like many of you. Use your brain before you are doomed. Leave both parties alone to resolve their issues. They are clients to each other. Thanks

I agree they resisted his arrest. No Security agency will just enter your house and tear gas the house except the person is a known Armed Robber. They must have gone there and some of his boys resisted them from arresting him but if true they slapped his wife, that Officer must go for it.

If this is how igbos want to deal with other Nigerians, then I am really sorry for the tribe. This is an utter display of tactlessness and tardiness in the conduct of supposedly majority ethnic group. It will take another millennia for igbos to go near the seat of power in Nigeria if this is how they want to behave. We have advised out of love, been disowned by my own ethnic group (Yoruba) just because of you igbos but you never learn. I am not concerned really as my children won’t be born igbo in Nigeria. Goodluck with the petulance. I am really taken aback by the herd mentality of the igbos. I advise igbos to stick to their business and forget politics.

They already lost, they are trying to use an earlier dealing with Innoson in 2012 to get a leverage for negotiation. GTB wants a negotiation, that's the only win for them. The court is very unlikely to reverse two consistent rulings. GTB have their match in Innoson.

His 25 million naira was seized by custom officers and many Igbo people suffer similar fates in the hands of these dreaded custom officers. Most of them are paying illegal charges as normal because of the intimidation from these agencies.
We are not defending Evans but we know he could have been a decent business man if he was not born Igbo in Nigeria.

I have critically analysed the case and both parties are at fault.

GTB wrong with the percentage interest they didn't want to pay

Innoson wrong with forging documents.

But the way the Igbos are going about tribalizing this issue is very irritating. They are never blaming Innoson for forging signatures and documents but are facing EFCC and GTBank.
