1) you teach your children about sexuality and make it clear to them that if anyone touches their private parts are a no go area
2) they are to report immediately if anyone touches them inappropriately
2) you must have a very open relationship with your kids in which they will not feel the need to hide anything from you
3) you must take personal responsibility for stuff like bathing, or escorting your kids to pee
4) if you have money, get cameras
5)look out for unexplained injuries etc
6) be paranoid/vigilant - i am not even confortable with my daughter sitting on some people's laps.

this exact scenario happened with a colleague in the office. it was his wifes junior bro bathing their daughter. he was engaging in digital abuse. the girl was telling her mum casually [she had no idea what was happening].

i remember on site once, one of my colleague came with his son. my colleague is a lazy guy, the sort who would order someone to wash his arse if he could. his son wanted to pee and he instructed someone to take the guy to a side to pee. i was looking at the guy like wtf? you will send your son with a complete stranger to relieve himself?
