You just confirmed my point, and we wonder why there is so much wickedness in the world, since it does not affect me its not my problem...will the US equally halt trade with almost half of the world??,do you think the US can survive on its own??,even its major allies voted against them so what are you saying??.
oga read history before WWII after WWI us isolated itself, and that's how they were able to help conquer Germany and Japan while supplying the rest of their allies vast resources. If you're one of those that thinks US can't stand by itself you must b a joker .but what will happen to the rest of those nations they invest massively in? Like nigeria

We are talking about the world at present and you are talking about WW11 and WW1,have you heard the word globalization??,and I am glad you admitted in your write up that they supplied their "ALLIES"....I stand by what I said, the US can not stand alone...can it consume all it produces, don't you know its massive export are one of its greatest strengths?,you must think a country just cuts economic ties just like that, why have they not cut ties with China with all their noise making,China holds the highest % of US debt...so oga history is good in so far as its lessons are used to solve current problems. You should follow current trends better.

I watched the US rep to the UN emphasize on US monetary, military and humanitarian contributions to the United Nations and the world over. Truly, I just hope they don't withdraw those.
America will never compromise her fight against terrorism to the Location of Jerusalem. Because after the Sept 11 attack, America have gone round the world even to support her greatest enemy that support the fight against terrorism. And all her military, humanitarian and monetary support are always within such location. I think future events will certainly prove this not mainly our arguments here. America have learnt her lesson that no nation is a giant in isolation.

Majority that are bench warmers? UN is the 5 countries that make up the veto. Every other nation was just invited to party.

You have not proven to me how this useless vote changes American stance. Or will stop Israel from killing 1000 Palestinians for every single Jew that dies. It's a useless vote.
Out of those 5 countries, how many have voted against the US move?

I'm strongly in support of the US and Israel alliance to crush terrorism in the world in whatever form it rears it head.

The Palestinians are only playing the victim card here because they were overpowered by Israel, yet they are still bearing their fangs of terrorism with Hamas and other terrorist groups targeting Israel on daily basis. imagine if reverse was the case, Israel would have been bombed into extinction.

Israel's attack on Palestine is only reactionary.

I'm sure that Nigerians on the street remember that buhari said "attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the north. "

El Rufai supported buhari on this too.

Will buhari say that if Fulani Muslims don't have a stake in Boko Haram?

Believe me, I don't need any Pastor to tell me what to believe. I only need to look at how many Christian villages got attacked by Fulani herdsmen in the Christian communities in adamawa, nassarawa and benue. I haven't even mentioned the massacre of igbos in the north by Muslims or the kiling of Christian preachers in the north.

You are sounding as if you knew Buhari's mind. Is it not the same Buhari that some people indiscriminately displayed his daughter's picture without hijab for her call to bar? Or the same man that prefer to work hand-in-hand with a pastor?

See, you know little or nothing about religious extremism. Call Buhari anything but he isnt promoting Islam in anyway.

Chai. Forget that pastor thing. It is just a cover up.

Another wrong thinking... and u think Fulani herdmen that is killing people have anything to do with Islam? Y can't u people think like normal human being without bringing the issue of religion in ur sense of thinking... Fulani ppl herd their cattle across the country and in doing so destroy peoples farm product and normal human being will definitely react to that evil act and that always result in killing and it continue like that... Now tell me, what does Islam have to do with that for Godsake...? believe me my bro, any killing that has ever happened in North is either Political and or ethnicity superiority... Go n research pls.... Have been living in North for 10years or more nw.

Yes in the past they shut their doors to the outside world, but that involved finished products and all, they still relied heavily on imports of raw materials and all,and once they achieved their aim they had to open up to the world if not their growth would have stopped, following a downward spiral, that's how these things work.No country has every single raw materials or products it needs to thrive.

Some people's comments shows many don't understand the world politics. Most comments here are based on their religion affiliations. I noticed most Nigerian Christians are in support of Trump's decision to move US embassy to Jerusalem. The UNGA last night resolution is about humanity not religion. Zionist state of Israel is a rogue/terrorist state. Everyone knows the land belongs to the Palestinians. The state of Israel is illegal.

Since the creation of Israel, no Catholic pope (both past and present) support the state of Israel. Nigerian Christians should read history books, everything is not about religion. The state of Israel doesn't even like Christians, they have more muslims than Christians. Palestine has more Christians than the state of Israel but myopic people don't know that.

Lastly, Nigerian foreign policy has always being in support of the state of Palestine. Our past leaders, both Christians and Muslims have always supports Palestine only GEJ is the black sheep. Africa has a whole supports Palestine, only the poor ones are in support of Israel just because of aids.
Bleep Trump and Netanyahu.
actually the last 3 Catholic Popes have supported Israel but they disagree with this move

The carnage that will happen in that region in few years to come will be unbearable and it's unfortunate. Man has never fought for anything than land. I don't know if you are a historian. Historically, Kings of Israel built Jerusalem. Keep religion apart. Palestine formally called Philistines was Israel's neighbor. While Israel was scattered in Exile. They occupied. On returning, UN gave Israel west,South and North Jerusalem and part of the west bank. East Jerusalem was given to Palestinians. Israel cried out that the land is the pride of their fathers. An Oslo agreement was reached under Yasser Arafat in 1992 for Jerusalem t be totally returned to Israel but Arafat reneged on it. Trump pulled up that agreement made with Clinton administration and simply recognized Jerusalem. Honestly. The UN vote changes nothing
I think what Muslims re really trying to fight for is actually the restriction which could affect them visiting the al aqsa mosque which stand as historical mosque for Muslims which located at east Jerusalem, trump actually is destroying the peace process between Palestinians and Israel to end the conflicts, trump decision is just like adding fuel to a burning fire,it may lead to disaster

Don't be deceived, US has fallen off the cliff. There are new world powers. Russia and China are there. US cannot do anything. The world has spoken. US and Israel are on their own.

Wishful thinking. No individual country comes close to the US in terms of anything meaningful.

China still has until 2034 to measure up to US economy judging by current growth rate.

China is no where near US in purchasing power parity.

For every dollar China spends on its military, the US spends $3 approx.

Even within its mainland, China has limited (air base & anti-surface only) military advantage over the US. The US has advantage in other operational areas of warfare. Outside mainland China, US has advantage in most operational areas except in counterspace (neutral ground), Chinese airbase and Chinese anti-surface where they are approximately at par.

Few hours ago, Trump signed a $4.6 billion bill for missile defense before leaving for Christmas holiday.

Note, I did not even mention Russia. They stands to chance in any way. They only assemble war heads and less than a million active personnel.

Some of u ain't verse in international politics....

Gone are the days you will fear offending the US. Nigeria has started taking stands without fear of US backlash. We did it wen they pressured us for the gay law. If US withdraw their support...other world powers like Russia and China will gladly fill that space. The latter are even looking to grow their influence in Africa so its an opportunity they crave. Secondly Nigeria is a leader in Africa and any responsible member of the UN will condemn a move that will surely destabilise the region and disrupt the peace process. If uk, france, germany, Japan and Korea can oppose the us on this...it tells u a lot....y'all need to know the history of the issue to understand why the world is against the move. The CIA director under Obama called the move 'beyond outrageous'.- especially when the us threatened countries that planned to vote for the resolution.

The us under trump is acting as a rogue state and any responsible country will stand up to be counted in opposing it

You people won't quit this hullabaloo.

The same China and Russia stood against invasion of Syria at UN and it never happened.

With the US backed rebels and the ISiS they created, asad is still in power with the backing of Russia.

One thing you guys don't know about the US is this: they know the meaning of diplomacy and have used their diplomatic deception to lure allies to their side overtime.
US knows too well that it's easier to use diplomacy to win hearts than force.

Are you saying many people are not doing well in China than in the US? How do you compare an economy of 300 million people with that of over a billion population? Stop making your economic judgement based on dollar influence. Over 800 million people in China are fine. Go check the report of guardian newspapers in UK last time to see the poverty level in the US. Check to see what international aid groups are saying about this.

What do you guys think US will do to the rest of the world, annihilate all of us cos we disagree with them?

Do you know most of their traditional allies are against them in recent developments? US can't kill of us.
